I walked in to Radio Shack today and picked up a black 16gb. The guy told me that when the new iPhones come out, they usually have plenty even when other stores are sold out because most people don't realize that Radio Shack carries them. Something to think about if you don't want to wait for shipping.

Ordered October 10th and 9PM and received tracking # today, says it will deliver tomorrow by 3pm via fed ex.

I got my tracking number last night from Fed Ex and it says should be delivered by 3pm today! So excited I can plan my vacation now.
Ordered from Verizon on the 11th Black 16GB.
Now I get to check Fed Ex all day today. I hope they come earlier since I am off work at 2pm. Otherwise I will be working late today.

Got my 4S White yesterday - shipped in one day from Tenn. to Ohio. So far I'm blown away. The activation took about 2 minutes or less through the wi-fi - seamless. Very impressed by that.
Spent the rest of the night learning how to sync contacts and calendar with iCloud on my iPhone, iPad, and MBP. Oh it's so nice.
A little tip: if you want to sync calendar and contacts, turn off iCloud Calendar and Contact Sync on all devices except for one. Clear out www.icloud.com calendar and contacts for your account. Do all of your editing in the one contact list, wipe clean all other device's contacts. Then turn on device sync and watch it go. Perfect copies on all devices. If you do not turn off Sync and you have different contacts on each device, it gets messy and gets into an infinite loop in a way. I learned the hard way.

So based on what I've been reading, is Verizon basically doing a shipment of iPhones a week right now, with delivery typically on Fridays? I ask because I've got a preorder currently scheduled to ship on the 28th, and I'm wondering if there's a fair chance the phone will actually arrive here that day. I've got a business trip tentatively set to start the following Monday, but I don't want to leave town without my new iPhone!
