I'm calculating it by my bill increase. Bill is currently $178.86. Switching to Verizon plan means -$20 line access and then $35.41 a month for the phone, causing my bill to increase $15.41 to $194.27.
If I take the bill difference, 15.41 x 24 it = $369.84 + $46.75 tax = $416.59 Buying the phone on contract would normally cost $299.99 + $40 upgrade fee = $339.99. $416.59 - $339.99 = a difference of $76.60.
Wouldn't that mean I'm paying $76.60 more for the phone than I would've on contract? Or am I just extremely confused and going insane with my math?
