ugh, this is really annoying. want to keep UDP so need to transfer upgrade from my line to another line. can't get the upgrade pricing on the verizon site, but can't order on the apple site cause the line that I want to use isn't eligiblle for upgrade yet. and I'm sure the 6s is going to get pushed back soon.

what do I do? i'm thinking that I might just need to get my phone later after verizon gets their act together. LAME!
I wasn't even able to buy the phone outright on my UDP. I had to log on someone else's phone number to buy it full price. What a pain in the a**.

I placed 6 order on apple websites using 3 different apple IDs with different names. And places 6 orders on verizon. Wonder what will happen... Lol

Did anyone NOT receive a confirmation email from Apple.com order
I have not received an e-mail confirmation yet (finished order around 3:20 EST). However, my order does show up correctly on the apple.com site under Orders.

OK - I may have messed up.

I tried to place an order for the iPhone 6S 64GB Verizon on Apple's website with the Apple Store app on my iPhone right after the store came online for me, about 2:05am. I went through the process and at the end I got a strange error that said my order may or may not have been placed? I don't recall the exact wording.

So, I panicked and tried it again and it said there was a problem with my card. (I just had to have it replaced because it was lost, long story) so I tried another card and it appeared it went though. 20-30 minutes go by and I have no confirmation e-mail from Apple. I'm more panicked.....

I go to Verizon's website and see that my account still shows I have an upgrade available. Why would that be, I just used it. So I though, I better just play it safe and order strait through Verizon to make sure I get it on launch. So I placed the order through Verizon directly. I immediately get an order confirmation e-mail and all looks good.

I call Verizon and they have sales support available just for the launch, great! The rep confirms the Verizon order went through, no issues and all looks great. He sees no problems and assured me that its ok.

Now, over an hour later I get the Apple.com order confirmation on the same line! There is no option right now to cancel the order on Apple's side, and I'm afraid that if I do it will mess something up because it was the first order I placed. I'm afraid it might get canceled and the Verizon order may auto cancel because the system was delayed but now it sees the first order.

I'm thinking I'm going to let it go until tomorrow and then check. And pray one of the two orders are ok?

Any recommendations?

Why don't you just wait for either one to ship. If they both do, then return one. Fairly simple.

They used their upgrade on the account. If they both try to Bill, one will take that upgrade and the other will either charge at full price (unlikely) or fail (most likely).

I'm kind of dumb and just realized that my Verizon bill is going up $15 rather than $2 with the Device Payments plan with a 6s+ 64GB. I forgot to include the additional taxes and fee's they include. Then, I did the math, and found out i'd be paying an extra $76.60 for the phone in the end, rather than sticking with a contract. Oh well, I'm sure I can sell it for a profit and make money in the end. I'll just imagine Verizon completely got rid of 2 year contracts and Device Payments is my only choice ;)

I also got a 6s+ 64GB ... I did the math and its basically $35.41 ... $35.41 X 24 month = $849.XX and I paid $76.49 CA tax up front basically its the phones full price...

How is yours more? Are you calculating incorrectly.. the $76.60 is the sales tax I'm guessing you didn't notice.

I'm calculating it by my bill increase. Bill is currently $178.86. Switching to Verizon plan means -$20 line access and then $35.41 a month for the phone, causing my bill to increase $15.41 to $194.27.

If I take the bill difference, 15.41 x 24 it = $369.84 + $46.75 tax = $416.59 Buying the phone on contract would normally cost $299.99 + $40 upgrade fee = $339.99. $416.59 - $339.99 = a difference of $76.60.

Wouldn't that mean I'm paying $76.60 more for the phone than I would've on contract? Or am I just extremely confused and going insane with my math? o_O

So 15.41 x 24 = $369.84 + $46.75 tax = $416.59 is right

Phone on contract however would be $399.99 + $40 upgrade fee = $439.99

Why would you have tax on the payments, but not on the contract phone?

You're paying $23 less + tax.

I have a loyalty plan $45/m and i wonder if i order and add new lines will verizon change it to share everything plan or make separate lines for the new iphones ?

Verizon grandfathered unlimited data customer - just ordered through Apple.com for a full price 64GB Space Gray phone; Delivers on 9/25.

So easy. Glad that I could order from Apple directly instead of Verizon and keep my unlimited data.

I also paid outright as a Verizon customer. Did you get a message like this during the checkout process:

did you also get charged a $40 upgrade fee? I did even though i paid full price

Ditto. Somewhere in this thread I was told that this is not accurate; it's a display error and we won't be charged.

Because the subsidized price is $399, not $299? I just checked and that is what I see.

Plus you'd have to pay tax on that as well so you are coming ahead... maybe $50?

I did not - I do not have have a contract on my line, I buy all phones at full price to keep my grandfathered unlimited data.

I'm not sure what to make of the message. I suppose it's them communicating that regardless of paying full price, I'm still obligated to pay Verizon for my monthly service for the rest of my 1 year contract? Weird messaging, I think.

I just preordered through Verizon; they offered me $200 trade in on my old iPhone 5-32GB.

I would have ordered through Apple, but they would only give me $90 under the recycle program, so it was no brainer to order through Verizon.
