- Verizon Customer on a business account. Company pays for my plan
- iPhone 5S and contract is up
- Can buy via Verizon on a 2 yr contract for $299. Dont care about my minutes since i dont see them. Downside is i am locked in another contract and if i leave the company, the contract comes with me
- By full price via Verizon. I am paying alot for the freedom but am not in a contract. I guess that benefits my company
- By the phone on the Apple upgrade plan. I get Applecare (which i have used each time) and own the phone after 2 years but can upgrade after a year to the 7 and turn phone in.

Are you sure your Verizon confirmation email says delivers 9/25 and not ships by 9/25? Mine says the latter, for some reason. Ordered 15 minutes before preorders were supposed to open.
The main difference is that with Apple it doesn't matter what the phone is worth after you make 12 payments. You turn it in, you get the next phone, you start that cycle again, but you don't have to do that you COULD just pay it off and keep it, but you get the option. With Verizon you are just telling them you agree to pay the total amount over 24 months. You can pay off early (I did that this year). You do not have to give them your phone.
Verizon.com. I had Verizon's page, BestBuy's and Apple's pages all opened and tabbed pinned. Verizon opened their pre-orders around 11:55 PM PT/2:55AM EST. I had it all set at 11:57, but was waiting for Apple's page to update, with no luck, so I went with VZ finalizing at 3:02. Email at 3:03.

My email says delivers by, when I track the order it says ship by. It'll be here on the 25th.
My confirmation email says Deliver By: 09/25/2015, while my check order status says expected ship date 09/25/15.
This is a Verizon thread regardless of how you ordered. Whether Apple or Verizon we all have to activate through Verizon and that can be good or bad
Oh wow, yeah. I forgot the phone was $399 not $299. Sorry, I was really tired last night/early this morning and just running numbers through my head quick. That's a relief. I thought my bill was going up $15 for no reason, but now I'm financing it over time, have an extra 2 GB of data, get the phone for just tax money, have the option to pay it off and sell it whenever I want, and I'm saving money! I guess this was a good decision.
I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to change my VZ service plan today to the new "Verizon Plan" with the same amount of data (6 GB) and unlimited talk/text and it actually *reduced* my monthly bill by $30 to only $80!
I ordered a 6s 128GB last night via Apple (on the Apple Store on my phone) at 4:00 AM ET and was able to get a 2-yr contract and the $399 subsidized phone. I also got the Sept 25 "deliver by" date, so I'm a happy customer.

Did you do this by phone call to VZ? I ordered full price phone, but the new data plans were not offered to me. Also the stupid $40 upgrade fee.

I too had a issue being able to keep my UDP on verizon site. Had to order through Apple and got stuck with a $40.00 activation fee. BS.

Yes, I get the same.
If I click the "Check Order Status" link from within the confirmation email, I see that both my orders have expected ship date of 9/25/2015...I assume that ship in this case means deliver on the 25th.
Call them, I called yesterday to figure out if the new plan would be better for me and it was.
