Yes, I get the same.

If I click the "Check Order Status" link from within the confirmation email, I see that both my orders have expected ship date of 9/25/2015...I assume that ship in this case means deliver on the 25th.

Likewise

For those who ordered from Apple, and have unlimited data. I 've confirmed several times with Verizon (but that likely doesn't amount to a hill of beans) that the text about the 40.00 upgrade fee (for those who paid full retail) is just an error with Apple's website. Was told if I am charged the 40.00 to call and they will credit it, even have my account noted twice about it, so we'll see. Wish Verizon had their act together and would have let me select unlimited when I ordered but all it offered was the 2gb and up options (even though Verizon claims that also is an error, on their website, and that unlimited would have stayed).

I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to change my VZ service plan today to the new "Verizon Plan" with the same amount of data (6 GB) and unlimited talk/text and it actually *reduced* my monthly bill by $30 to only $80!

I ordered a 6s 128GB last night via Apple (on the Apple Store on my phone) at 4:00 AM ET and was able to get a 2-yr contract and the $399 subsidized phone. I also got the Sept 25 "deliver by" date, so I'm a happy customer.

Hmm I'm on a "more everything" plan that's over 6gb so we're going to get a $25 credit per line (so $40-25=15).

If I move to the XL data plan (same cost with 2 gigs more data) then I only receive a $20 credit pee line. Which seems like a ripoff right?

just curious but why are you guys thinking delivery date rather than ship date? I take it to mean that the phones leave the factory on the 25th since apple's site also says ship date and since it seems like iphones would be delivered at different times in different areas. I could be wrong about that; have the preorders shipped before the store pick-ups in years past?

Thanks boxer for this confirmation. I am steering clear from having to order through VZW next year.

Same here, seems they had their heads up the rear end this year. I'd never ordered from Apple before, and while their website was still offline when I did order, I just used the app on my iPhone and it worked out great, now the waiting game begins, lol.

Doesn't that essentially mean you're getting 2 more gigs for $5/month? If that's the case then that seems like a good deal. Assuming you'd use the 2 gigs.

I just got off the phone with Verizon rep and they offered me a "more everything more everything boil tea loyalty" plan for $100 per month for 20GB, $20 per line on top of that, BUT a $25 per Month per line discount that continued after the devices were paid off.

My math says that's an awesome deal. She said there was just a special offer on my account when I called in.

Add in my 18% discount from my employer and that's awesome.

I signed up and I'm pleased.

Anyone else experience special offers like this?

Yes, people are saying this because of experience. Last year my order status also said ship by the launch date, it actually arrived on the launch.

By the way, my email confirmation looks different than others I have seen posted, because I somehow managed to order prior to midnight. My order was done by 11:46 Pacific time. My order shows 9/11 as the order date. See the image below. It does show that it is supposed to ship by September 25. If I check the order status, it also says expected ship date is September 25.

Are you guys seeing anything more than this on Verizon order status?

Mine says:

My order is the same way. Order date is the 11th, delivery by date is the 25th.

Yeah but $5 per line and we have 3 lines so it's like $15 more a month :/. Otherwise yes if it was just one it'd be okay.

I'm guessing boil tea is loyalty :) That is the same price as the 18gb verizon plan ($100 + $20/line). Verizon regularly has various deals. I'm confused about the $25 month per line discount though, was they saying it would go down to $15/line after your devices are paid off? Because the $25 per line discount doesn't make sense if your line fee is $20.

That line fee sounds like a mix of two different plan types[?] As I understand it, there's More Everything and the new[er] Verizon Plan:

The More plan has a $40/device/line fee under contract, then either a $15 or a $25 per device discount when you're off contract (based on the data plan). There were several incremental tiers for More.

The Verizon plan has less tiers, and a simpler two price tier per device, $40 for contract, $20 month-to-month/off contract.

What you're describing the Verizon Plan per line line fee with the More Everything discount model? If they actually give you that, it would be pretty awesome!

When I chatted with Verizon about changing from More 8GB, non-contract, currently on -$15/device, and asked about the 6GB plan that was $100 ($60 + 20x2) off-contract - they said, let me give you the -$25 line and you stay with More, so I'm at $100 now, same price but =+2GB more - my usage is usually under 4GB, the 8GB was a freebie from several months back. My case was 6 of one ...

That's fantastic. No one offered me anything like that :-(

Also, in response to the number of comments above about the one-time upgrade fee, VZW told me (several times) that it would only be waived if I took at two year contract ($299/plus $20/month additional access fee). It just wasn't worth it to me.

Really, as a long-time customer, they didn't do anything to make me want to purchase the phone through them. So, whether I choose the Apple Purchase Program or outright purchase from Apple, I'm definitely buying from the company.

thanks for correcting me, this is a pleasant surprise!

Warning regarding the recycling program gift card: Not a great experience with VZW today. Set alarm for 3 a.m. and ordered 64 GB 6s through VZW. Had to go with them b/c I still had the $200 gift card for recycling my wife's phone last year. However, the site wouldn't allow me to apply the $200 to reduce the cost of the phone. (I was also planning to go with one of their new data plans). Called customer service later in the a.m. and spoke to a lady who while helpful, was not able to explain at that time why it wouldn't take the card.

She called back later in the day and confirmed VZW doesn't allow any gift cards for preorder! What??!!! I was pretty pissed for a few minutes. She said I could cancel the preorder and order on launch day OR stay with the preorder and take the phone in to a local VZW and see if a manager could apply the $200 gift card before I initiated the new plan. She said it would be up to him/her. Really!? Also, my email regarding the gift card says I can use it in the store or online but a store rep told me yesterday (and now the phone rep is telling me) that the program was only good online. SMDH.

All is good though b/c I got thinking more about how to proceed and I realized I should stick with my existing plan anyway (loyalty $60 per month for each of our phones to share 2 GB...which is fine for us). She told me I could stay with it and still get the subsidized price ($299 and use my $200 gift card). I previously had assumed incorrectly that there were no more subsidized plans. So the math I did and some misleading info the guy at the store told me yesterday indicated the new plan would be a little cheaper. But we both were wrong.

Plan is to cancel the preorder and order on launch day. I guess the only other alternative is to order through Apple but then I would only be able to apply the $200 gift card towards my monthly bill (after removing the wireless portion from my One Bill...another sneaky thing VZW didn't make clear at first). Only downside is I may have to wait a bit longer for the phone to arrive. ...but I'll survive!

I agree, there should be a separate VZW online order thread. It would make it easier to track....
Easier how?

In the end we all (Verizon) customers have to activate with Verizion plans and are dealing with Verizon CS.

This thread is set up as a Verizon Carrier thread - regardless of how you order your phone.

I'd like to have separate threads for what browser was used, on which ISP and the handedness of the user ...

Ah, yes THAT extra bit of sneakiness. If I wanted to use the month/month iPhone purchase program with Verizon (which is basically the same price as just buying the phone from Apple, including that stupid one-time 40 upgrade fee, which they still won't eliminate, even if you buy the phone from them, the only way I could do that would be to stop doing One Bill pay. Now, that's not a big deal for me, but why? And if that's an end goal, why not offer me a bigger incentive?

That is all I'm seeing and my chat with Verizon was worthless. My cc hasn't been charged and limited info on website. I did get an email confirmation that says deliver by 9/25 though, so we'll see.

Well, we don't necessarily need separate threads, but could people at least make sure they say what site they ordered from when discussing their status? That would at least help eliminate the multiple posts afterwards asking "Which site are you talking about?"
