Verizon.com: Preorder thread

I would assume as long as you sign up for UPS my choice (which is free) you should have options to change delivery. if you arent a premium member, it says its 5 dollars to reroute to a different address. But, my tracking page is not live yet and thus cannot confirm.
 
I signed up for my choice, but it mails you....yes mails you an activation code. Not sure if I'll get that in time. Not sure any of my options are working on my choice. I don't believe so.

with ups my choice you can set a 2 hour window, but it costs if you arent a premium member.

i sound like a freaking ups sales rep or something lol

Edit: they mail you a code? its been over a year since i signed up, i dont remember that. might be new. i might have forgotten.

With UPS I've never had an issue asking them to hold it at the sort facility. I did it with my Apple Watch and it made the whole process much simpler.

If you do want to do this make sure to specifically ask for the sort facility and not a store. In the past I've had it sent to the store and it is a crapshoot if it is there that day or if it delays it a day.

That works of the sort facility is near you. In my case its 25 miles away and not really easy to get to.

If you are not a premium member, it is $8 to get a 2 hour time window. The economics of this service do not work too well. The yearly membership is $40. I would do that if they were like Amazon Prime. But you only get 2 delivery reservations with that. So there is no real need to join something you only get $16 worth of value for.
 
I was able to call Verizon today and have them change the delivery address without a problem. Just needed the fedex tracking number and where I wanted it to go.
 
Hmmm I signed up but don't have a lot of options ...maybe more will be available once the package is scanned in.
 
VZ told me they only require an indirect signature, meaning if you can't be home, just use one of billinaz's forms on the original post, and stick it to your door (or wherever packages are left)

And yes, you need the package to be scanned before they'll do anything.
 
Cool. Thanks for the tip. I don't live in a bad neighborhood by any means, just don't like the idea of a $1000 sitting on my front porch for an extended period of time. Lol

Anyone with my choice care to see if these options are available when you click change delivery? I dont know if it will work yet, since they arent moving.

Note: this tracking is from a book im getting that is clearly behind schedule, as it says it was supposed to ARRIVE today, yet ups doesnt even have it in their possession yet..... Stupid company.

same, although i had a phone case for the 6s+ delivered today at 1pm. last week my apple watch wasnt here til 5pm. talk about consistency.....

If it's only $5-8 to schedule a time window, that's worth it to me. I'm going to be gone Friday afternoon and I really don't want it sitting on my step. By the time I get back, the stores/facilities will be closed. UPS comes at different times here (sometimes 10a, sometimes 3, etc.).

I hope there's a way to schedule delivery. I really don't want to cancel everything just to wait for my phone

If you trust your neighbors, since VZ only requires an indirect signature, you can have your neighbor sign for it after requesting online to have it delivered to neighbor's house

That's what I get as well. Sucks. I get a daily deliveries at work from all the carriers. Not sure what I was thinking.

this might be a stupid question, but that sounds like your ups my choice account does not have your delivery address on file. for example, my phone is being delivered to my moms house, but my ups account is registered for my house. so i had to go to addresses, add my moms address, and add her name. now, any package going to her will show up under my account. i think you said before its being delivered to your business or something. just asking to make sure you have that address linked to your ups account.

Don't really talk to the neighbors much, so that's not an option

I used to ship everything that required a signature to my grandfather's house until he passed away earlier this year. He knew his UPS guy really well and always had great service from him. He was consistent with his delivery times too which made everything easier
