Mine finally went live. It's in Memphis. I am not. To those that have held your packages, tee hee, you did it through app?
 
So I called Vzw right after I pre-ordered the phone to change my shipping address. They said no problem and "changed" it. I see now by the tracking that they didn't. I won't be home to sign. Has anyone that has used my choice to have it left at a ups store been able to get it that same day. Ups is telling me that I would have to wait until Monday if I want to have it left there. I can have it left at the distribution center but it's almost an hour from work and I can walk to the ups store so that would obviously be much easier.
 
Not a fun things to do but, what you could do, least it's what I have had to do with previous UPS orders (they suck delivering in Boston). Just let them claim to try to deliver and they'll try again the next day. Call their main number, and usually that person will get in touch with shipping center and they'll have it held there for you after like 6pm when most of the trucks return or you can ask at that time to hold there the following day. Never had much luck getting them to hold anything instead of 'attempting to deliver' in over 15 years.
 
You got a rare bad apple(s), most reps are good, I've always had knowledgable, good reps.

Not to say there aren't bad ones- there are, but it's not fair to stereotype them all as "incompetent idiots"

Disagree, when it is two different reps last night, two different today, and the call from the office that got the email when I emailed the CEO. That's a lot of bad apples.
 
My tracking says shipped via Next Day Air with a Ship Date of 9/24, so I shouldnt expect this until late Friday then?
 
Ok, so my UPS tracking just updated.

I'm looking to schedule a time window or pick up at the store/distribution center. I've gone into Change Delivery and it won't let me do anything. Can someone help me please? I do have UPS My Choice, but the free version. Do I need to call UPS and have them set it up?
Do you have this option in app? If you do could you post a screenshot?
 
Ok, so when you go in the app, this is what it'll look like (this is the Android app btw, so iOS may look a little different)

Again, this isn't for my iPhone - this is another package I have coming tomorrow. UPS won't allow you to do anything with your iPhone package until they have it and scan it (so I imagine this will be tomorrow afternoon/Thursday morning). Just keep checking with your tracking frequently so you can schedule a pickup/delivery window ASAP

I seem to be in the minority here, but my iPhone 6s Plus (Space Gray 64GB) shipped with FedEx. Has anyone successfully gotten FedEx to hold the package for pickup?

FedEx told me that Verizon will not let them hold or redirect until one unsuccessful delivery attempt is made. Everybody seems to get a different story from Verizon and FedEx, however.

I'm sure you will. My iPhone is still sitting at processed as well. They finally scanned the label this morning, but they haven't shipped it or anything yet (I wish they would deliver it early like that one person ;))

Does anyone sending to a ups store show an exception in the ups app when in my choice settings? Is that why? I love the app btw. (Pretty sure I'm never preordering again. Too stressful lol)

I would take tons of vertical videos/photos and post them here!

But the pink looks nicer than I thought. I think it'll be different under different lighting conditions too. I'm still happy that I ordered one. If I hate the color, I'll throw a colored case on top of it. Problem solved.

I'd really love apple to do a black front with a pink or gold back. Now THAT would be awesome
 
I do not believe so, though that would be a nice option.
well my package says "indirect signature" and i looked on the Fedex site and it said you could leave a signed dated note giving them instructions to leave it in a secure location or print off a door tag and do pretty much the same thing

I'm hoping that this may just be because of the "Future Delivery Request" part of it. Maybe once it starts actually moving (Thursday most likely, as scheduled delivery is Friday) the Customize Delivery button will un-gray.
 
Anyone else who preordered relatively recently seeing any updates? I pre ordered yesterday morning in a store. Estimated shipping still says 9/25 on the Verizon online store. Mine is "being processed".

Just received tracking info for my preorder I placed yesterday. Ships Thursday. :) :) :)
