well my package says "indirect signature" and i looked on the Fedex site and it said you could leave a signed dated note giving them instructions to leave it in a secure location or print off a door tag and do pretty much the same thing

I believe folks have linked to a form, but I've just left a printed note, "I authorize the package to be left at this door, tracking number xxxx, on date xx/xx/xxxx", sign it, tape it to the door.

So I found buried in the App the ability to authorize a "Shipment Release." This effectively says it's ok to leave on the doorstep and UPS is no longer liable etc etc.

I wish this was an option with UPS. I called before I ordered to confirm the carrier would be FED Ex for this reason and I got stuck with UPS anyways.

Which configuration did you get? I think I got one that wasn't as popular as the others (6S 64GB Silver). I know the Rose Gold and Gold configurations are in super high demand.

The VZW.com site is still showing some models of the 6s (not Plus) available for 9/25 delivery. I just checked 5 mins ago.

I do have a helpful neighbor, an elderly couple that forced the Fed Ex guy to jump my fence and leave a package at my back door. LOL They aren't always around and they are the type of people who would wait regardless if I asked them.

I put a pop up canopy for them at the beginning of summer. Took me ten minutes, they bought me some really nice steaks. It is hard to do nice things for them. I am going to wait to see if I can have the package held and if not figure out another option. I am cutting it close.
 
Not sure. Just shows an exclamation point and says exception. I think it's because I'm having it sent to ups store.

Ok. The reason I asked is because I ordered a tool from Home Depot and it went to exception when it went missing and they were investigating it.

I ordered the Mrs a Samsung S6+ edge this morning (her phone died). I just checked the shipping and it is coming from Coatesville PA (fedex).

So the phones are all together in this warehouse waiting for our UPS pickups. The strange thing is that it seems the fedex ones are getting picked up?

Here's my situation:

The package is addressed to my father (the acct is under his name). However, I have the same last name and address as he does, so my last name and address match the package. Would I be able to visit the Customer Care center and pick it up, or am I stuck with the store?

From the conversation I had as long as the last name matches and the address on your license matches you are good to go at the customer care center.
 
I agree.. and with the way some of you are claiming to speak to these reps it's really no wonder you're getting bad service. I've worked in customer service where I had the capability to give the customer whatever they wanted if I felt like it and can tell you I would go out of my way to make sure the customer got screwed if they were treating me like dirt. Be nice. I know Verizon is the one who messed up, but being polite about it will get you much further.




Im sure nobody starts that way. After being given the wrong information time and time again and then they cancel orders without you knowing. In my case they said they just needed to reprocess the order. I said as long as that meant I would not lose my place at the front of the line. They assured me I would. Then I found out reprocess meant cancel your order, reorder and then try to get your order moved to the front.

They seemed to have no clue that ordering even 2 hours later would put you behind the first group, much less ordering a week later. Then I was told they could not do this until Monday or Tuesday. (I called on Friday).

I constantly told them that my concern was they would put the stock into shipments over the weekend and I didnt want to have my first order pushed back on delivery dates.

Then I get told that the order "should" be shipped first but there are 'no guarantees'. I asked why they didnt tell me that before they canceled the order.... no answer.

Luckily for me they screwed up the order cancellation.

I literally just got off of the phone with a verizon rep and I ordered 4 phones (64gb rose gold, 64gb gold plus, 128gb space grey, 128gb space grey plus) and i ordered at 4 am EST on launch day an hour after they started I got all of them saying 25th delivery and I just called and the rep told me its showing now october 7th delivery. I got heated which I know is not necessary but thats not acceptable when I order and it says something and now they're saying something completely different when I call them. Makes NO sense at all. I don't get it. Its not even a rose gold plus we got that they said are the lowest stock and most on back order. one gold plus and one space grey plus.

I hope this is all bs and it ships when it should. Thats very disappointing and not what I would expect from verizon. Although same kind of thing happened last year but I ordered at 6 am and was late.

I hope they fix this and it ships. I do NOT have high hopes though.

haha why you say that?

I ended up canceling last year but I don't want to do that again this year. its absurd they can't give you a correct estimated time when ordering so that you don't have to waste your time when ordering if you don't want to order based upon the correct time they estimate.

really is bs

that makes no sense how is my order that was ordered at 4 am EST on launch day not delivering on the 25th if they still have some available and i ordered two regular and two plus

verizons pre ordering really is ridiculous and not reliable at all

Ok, sounds good. He said he would stop on his way home to pick it up, but I'm not waiting until evening for my phone. Even though it's my day off from classes, I'm waking up extra early to be the first one there. I want my phone!
