Has your phone been "shipped" yet? As in, on FedEx, does it say anything other than the label being created? It may not be available until after the phone ships out (like tomorrow/tomorrow evening)
It really doesn't make a difference when you turn them on. The SIMs should already be in. If they aren't, I'm pretty sure they specify which is which.

Anyway, to tell after you activate, look in the About section in settings (General - About). I think it shows the phone number. It's been a while since I've used iOS, but I imagine that's where the phone number is. You could always call each number from your home phone/another phone and see

Yes, the phones are "In transit" in Memphis, as they have been since Saturday, waiting for Future Delivery to arrive on the 25th. I do hope more options might become available after it's actually overnighted on the 24th, but it might be a bit late to reroute or set a delivery time at that point.

Hi All! I've been reading the forums here for awhile now and recently decided to join.

I preordered a 128 g 6s+ rose gold on day 1 but decided yesterday that I really wanted a smaller phone so I called Verizon yesterday and had them cancel my order and reorder a 6s 128g in rose gold. I was lucky enough to still get a delivery date for the 25th. Four hours later my card was charged and I got the email with my tracking number this morning around 10:30, now I'm just waiting on it to go live.
I have had a Galaxy s5 for the last year and I am SUPER excited to go back to an iPhone. I hope that everyone's deliveries go smoothly on Friday!

If I were you, I'd keep watching the tracking like a hawk (maybe have the texts to your phone/email).

As for the Apple ID, I think its after, but don't quote me on that. Remember, you can always log out of the wrong one and/or restore if things get really messed up

My wife suggested that I just take the chance with the signature waiver and having them leave it on our doorstep. No thank you. I guarantee there will be people out there just looking for FedEx or UPS trucks knowing it's iPhone release day.

I'll just have to find a way to get them to hold the package for pickup. I really don't know why they have to make a delivery attempt first if I'm requesting it up front.

It was a pre-authorization charge. It'll be back. If you have a tracking number you are going to be fine. Happens every year, every device. Same thing happened with the Watch

That's why I'm not having the waiver signed. I'm going out on Friday afternoon and I really don't feel comfortable with my iPhone sitting by the door, especially on release day. I don't live in a bad area or anything, but you never know who's around watching

My FedEx tracking says that it will be before 3pm. I've had FedEx deliveries but usually don't actually pay attention to time since I don't want the stuff all that much. So what time do they typically begin deliveries in the morning? I'm going to have to be on the lookout because I have a main common apartment entrance that they can't get through. They always leave the slips on the outer door and I definitely don't want that...

My Verizon tracking email links me to the FedEx page but says it shipped UPS with a 1Z #. The ups tracking # works for me so it might just take some time. I think the FedEx stuff is just a mess up on their part when sending the emails.

If I were you (or anyone else receiving their phone via FedEx), I'd pay the $5 for the delivery window. At least you'd have *some* idea of when the delivery would be there.

Mine has been "in transit" since Sunday but its just sitting there at the sort facility in Memphis mocking me. Considering its overnight shipping with a Friday delivery, it should finally move on out tomorrow.

I'm not positive. I'd wait until it ships out. I suggest getting text alerts/email alerts and letting you know when it does. When you get the text or email, I'd rush to the site and select an option. Sometimes they won't let you when they don't "have" it yet

Preordered a black 6s plus 64gb on 9/17 and it was expected to be delivered by 10/07, but got a shipping notice today and it is already in transit to be delivered by 9/25. Awesome surprise!

From the email that I received today it was listed as the phone under "item" .. I've ruled out EDGE return boxes because I am a Sprint member porting over to VZW

that makes it more likely its is just useless information about your acc etc

reasons why i didn't, you get like 300 verizon credit for the purchase of a new device, which can't be used on a payment plan. and the other 100 is bill credit (which is fine)..
would be beneficial if it was all bill credit, but you could get more selling it.. I'm sure they sharked a few into it

I'm actually lucky, my delivery time is 'before 3pm'.. and they usually hit my house around 12.. good 3 hour window to play fifa and wait

I went ahead and did it for my 4 that's in the drawer. If I end up getting their original offer of $25, then that's fine. If I get the $100, that'd be awesome. I'm an existing customer and I got that offer, so they must've known that I was (they sent it to my VZW number which is registered under an account).

I'm fine with bill credits. Helps me to rebuild the $300 I lost by edging up early lol
