Verizon just charged my credit card for the CA sales tax on my order. Things are finally in motion!

Delivery date changed to today, 9/18. I wish! lol
I got charged as well! My delivery date changed to 9/18 as well. I'm sure they are processing so many orders and getting things updated that it will get straightened out eventually.

Got a fraud alert notification from CHASE today, so if you have CHASE you better call and tell them to authorize the charge. They declined the charge. I called and told them to authorize the charge earlier this week, but apparently that didn't work. So, I called CHASE again, cleared it up, called Verizon, they ran the card and it went through. They said it wouldn't change the delivery date of 9/25. About 20 minutes later I got an email from Verizon saying my order was on hold. I called in and they said I was fine, but I'm skeptical. My "check your order status" now says NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME for expected delivery date instead of 9/25, as it had said before. I think CHASE screwed me over....

I also emailed chase earlier this week letting them know about the charge and they said they would make a note. However I got a text from them today asking if the charge was valid and I replied with yes and everything went through from what I can see.

I have Chase! Does this happen every year?!

I was surprised. I got a text asking if I approved the purchase. I responded "yes" assuming that would allow the charge to go through, but then I got a response saying something like "Ok, well we declined the charge so tell them to run it again." I hit the roof!

First time it's ever happened to me and I've always used Chase. But I paid full retail so the charge was around $1k.

Oh ok that makes sense. Mine is just taxes. I have emailed. Just in case I don't want delays.

Just called Chase and Verizon. Chase said nothing has come through yet and there's no reason the charge shouldn't go through. Verizon said the pre-authorization was good they just haven't processed mine yet.

My credit union gave me the fraud text today too lol. But it didn't decline the charge so it kept things moving I guess. Funny Verizon trips the fraud alert but my Macbook purchase last night didn't.

My charge went through, however my status is still processing. My husband was kind enough to give me his trade in and take my 6 plus and I've been using my stepson's 5, its been awful so I'm looking forward to this so much more than had I kept the 6+

OMG, hahahaha, what-the-heck:

I just got an email that my Verizon order was put on hold because they can't take payment from the info I provided...

Your card was declined. Call your card company and tell them to accept the charge, then call that number in the Verizon email ASAP.

Where did you set up your phone number for text contact?

Any changes? Exact same thing happened to me with Bank of America... Whole card got put on hold due to apparent fraud and then got an email from Verizon saying my order was put on hold. Then I called, and the tech support said that everything looked fine on their end and I should get my phone on 9/25, but when I go to the check my order page it says "We received your order and it is in process. Payment not taken yet." and for delivery date "Not available at this time". I hope it doesn't get delayed because of this :/

Well in my experience maybe... i order the 6+ about a week after preorders opened last year and i got mine phone about a week earlier than they said. But a lot of the poeple who ordered right out of the gates got theirs up to a week after promised, so i'd say being later on delivery you might get it a bit early.

Who knows though, it wasn't like that for everyone.

I haven't even been charged yet? Lol I guess I have awhile to go.

Charges for the sales tax have hit my credit card for the two phones I ordered (a 6s 64GB Rose Gold, and a 6s Plus 64GB Silver). The Plus was ordered first, and the Rose Gold ordered about 6 hours later. Both have Sept 18th listed as the delivery, but agree, that'll get updated, hopefully back to 9/25 where it was originally.

Same exact situation as me. Wording is all the same. As of 8:10 CDT no changes. Hopefully we'll see something different tomorrow?

Do you think Verizon will try to charge me for the phone again? Or should I be contacting the bank and trying to have them undecline the Verizon charge I had earlier? I use the BofA app and I cleared the fraud on the app and unblocked my card, but now the Verizon charge is completely gone instead of saying declined or anything... Or should I just believe what the VZ tech support told me and hope my phone gets here next Friday?
