I kinda like the design, even though I'm still going to use my Klipsch Image S4's because they're far superior.

Agreed...

Soo.. do we have enough parts to build our own iphone yet? All these leaks should get together and mail all their parts to gizmodo to put the phone together and see if it boots. haha

I havent seen any pictures of the packaging yet.

The original iPod earbuds (like I got with my 60 GB ages ago) are no audiophile dream, but they are the best-sounding I’ve ever had from Apple. Every change since then has fallen short, so I still use those old 'buds when I don’t need a mic and don’t want to lug my folding Sennheisers. So something needs to change.

I hope I never see a horse with head like that....

If you imagine the music from the Mos Eisley Cantina playing, then the first part of the video is really great.

I have real hassle with in ear phones falling out of my ear if the buds are not right, it looks like this is what will happen with these. These look really weird, what is with the bit on the side? I am guessing these are bluetooth?

Why would they be Bluetooth with a cord?

Meh..

These look very uncomfortable... why can't they use a flanged earplug design?

I'd rather see the stress points where the buds and jack attach to the wires reinforced on the current design, so they don't fall apart so easily.. Or, that and flanged earplug earpieces..

Oh well..

I hope they work better than the previous ones did. The old ones were useless for me. Would not stay in my ear for a simple jog.

Cool

They look cool but "horses head"? Not sure what type of horses they have in vietnam but no. Guess labor is REALLY cheap over there, but they do look interesting.

If this is not fake and we will see new headphones, I sure hope it will have sound reduction capabilities....

These look legit. Of course the $100+ headphones folks bought after getting their devices sound better but these are the bundled ones so you can't really expect that level of quality. If these are improved in any way over the current ear buds then that's a win. With all the white headphones I still see, people will be happy with these. My favourite headphones on the go and gym are the Bose MIE2i ones. Sitting down at work I prefer Bose QC15. Maybe Apple could bundle something as nice as those but the iPhone would go up $100.

HA! Beats and quality don't belong in the same sentence.

I find them poorly constructed for how much they cost.

He didn't mean the company Beats, but "beats" as in: is better, win's over, beat up, beats up another product, better than another product...kinda thing..

Aren't they missing the gray rubber layer for grip? Otherwise I can't see people using these without that.

if these are legit, this is pretty great - almost for sure those slits on the buds are mics for noise cancellation, meaning that the processing is being done at the phone level, and opens the door for headphone manufacturers to build really nice buds with this built in for fairly cheap (current noise cancellation headphones have do their own processing).

it also means that almost everybody that gets this is going to get a big bump up in terms of sound quality from the old style - it won't be audiophile quality, but most people that invest in good headphones know how it can make a dramatic difference in your music experience, and this will almost certainly be one of the new iphone's major selling points.

being able to eliminate outside noise allows you to really hear your music. an interesting experiment is just to take your current headphones, and listen with just one bud in while you are in a noisy environment, then put the second one in, and compare what you can hear. it's not a scientific experiment, but it goes a long way to showing you how your perception of the music changes when you are hearing other sounds.

Dusje, aren't botn those holes INSIDE your ear? One pointing straight at your brain, the other one pointing forward. Just look at the R headphone, and imagine putting it into your right ear. No openings on the outside (where the cable enters), or am I mistaken?

I think you're right - the two larger openings would appear to fire directly into the ear, with a much smaller vertical opening on the back open to the air. Do I also see a small vertical opening at the base of the shaft where the cable enters?
