Haswell Smashwell...LOL

I'll believe it when I see it.

Intel's still working to get it debugged.

This is an area that Apple excels in .... planning. Therefore I believe Apple is ready, it's all a matter of waiting for Intel.

no there is nothing to debug, only your ability to read and make good whimsical comments

I guess that "developing" a new aluminum body is slightly easier than implementing a new CPU architecture.

My comment was part fact, fiction, experience, and humor. I follow Intel very closely as its a prerequisite in my line of work. Google's your friend, check it out & you too can read all about it. :)

yeah right

If the Non-Retina MacBook Pro's stay then I expect the Retina MacBook Pro's to maintain their current price points.

If however the Non-Retina MacBook Pro's are removed from Apples line up I would expect the Retina models to drop in price by perhaps $99 to $299.

My prediction is at WWDC they will announce refreshed 15" and 13" Retina MacBook Pro's featuring Haswell CPU's, 750M Graphics Processors, 802.11ac wireless and increased battery life.

What is the difference between 650M and 750M ?

are you seriously ? or make fun of me? so there will be no much differences between my imac with 650M and the 750M?

Does anyone think the cMBP will not be getting Haswell?

I could see Apple leaving the cMBP on their same Ivy Bridge chips for one more year to squeeze out higher margins and then discontinuing them altogether next year.

a lot of people think they will die, and wails of despair shall be heard

Speculation haswell rmbp upgrade

Just a question about ssd of 15 rmbp

We know that it has 830 Samsung manufactered and there are any ssd made by sandisk (I hope a low amount because the performance of that are worse the Samsung one)

How likely is that the next refresh of 15 rmbp with haswell included will have the fastest ssd made on marked: Samsung 840 pro
I notice the pricing is quite the same

Low

1) its very expensive
2) the majority of consumers don't know or care about the brand
3) you are not going to be able to tell the difference unless you are running a benchmark

I hope they move away from samsung for the SSDs, the crucial m500 is a very good drive, I actually prefer it over the 840 pro

I would love an Nvidia 780M GTX in the MBPr. That is a sweet GPU but I don't think Apple would be that bold.

You can see some of the specs here.

C'mon Apple, it only requires 122 watts.

I hope they do. I want a $1200 mbp with haswell but that probably won't happen

When Apple didn't upgrade the processors in the cMBPs in February like they did with the rMBPs I think the writing was really on the wall.

The cMBPs could stick around for a while as is, with Ivy Bridge processors, like the iPod Classic has stuck around ;)

make it a 8970m and the graphical pros would be ecstatic, but no matter the 780m is just a rebranded 680mx, much like the 8970m is just a 7970m. However, the 8990m should be just short of awesome, apparently its the new gcn cores at 20nm

It's not about being bold, it's about whether they could possibly dissipate that much heat.

I can already see the threads about super hot rMBPs, or people disappointed that they aren't getting the full performance because it throttles the GPU down when it gets too hot.

This is so so so so so so silly.

The M500 is a good raw storage device, not a great performer in the nitty gritty specs wise. You are so uninformed if you think it performs better than a 840 Pro.

its all about the design, nothing more nothing less
