Thanks for your comment about this it gave me the courage to attempt this. I was hesitant to cancel my apple store order as well but it's worked out great! After about 5min it reset my upgrade status to available and I was able to process the reservation confirmation email. Now I get delivery on 9/19 instead of 7-10 days! Yes!
Did you get an email for 9/19 delivery and it changed to October? Or did it originally have October?
i'm just curious, which carrier are you with? I'm in the same boat...

When I originally reserved the phone last night it showed as "Delivers on 9/19". It wasn't until I was able to purchase it today that the date changed.
I received the 2nd email - but when I try and sign in by reservation number, I get the following error:
"Were sorry. We cant find your reservation. Please verify your information and try again."
Has anybody experienced this?
Same thing is happening to me. I called Apple customer service (waited about 10 minutes). The rep on the phone said that this is happening to a lot of people. She apologized, and said not to be alarmed. She recommended I continue to try every couple hours or so, and it will eventually go through.
I'm not sure I buy that, but we'll see...
So I'm trying to change the phone number associated with my reservation but I don't see this option anywhere. Basically I ordered a phone last night and am in the 7-10 group but my reservation email came this morning and it's for 9/19.

Bad news. Finally got thru and they can't change the phone number. They stated all they can do is process the order like normal and you would have to call the carrier and see if they can change the upgrade.
