update for anyone on Sprint, who is on a Framily plan:

I finally changed my plan online, it took a while, after errors and maintenance messages on the site and on the Sprint app.

then I went on to the 2nd email reservation Apple email, completed the order, 9/19 delivery - oh man I'm happy!!! :D :D :D :-O

thank you to the user here who gave me the tip, who was in the same boat as me - I appreciate it a lot!!

btw, I talked to a Sprint representative on the phone, they didn't change my plan, they said they couldn't do it.

I talk smack about Sprint sometimes but man did Apple come through!!

whoever wants to do the same, do it quickly, before the 24 hours is up!!!

Received the second email, clicked the link, attempted to sign in, and it says they can't find my reservation. Oh well. Luckily I already placed an order for delivery between Oct. 1-6.

What do you mean? I kinda had to go through hell and back with sprint and apple to finally get through. I just kept trying and eventually it went through.

I had mine reserved with a line that was unlimited as well. Verizon says they don't know if they can fix it or not when it gets there if I proceed with the order. I take the chance use my reservation and when I start going thru the order it ask what phone number I want to check my upgrade for. I type in a number on my account that is not unlimited and boom it went thru. So you may want to try to go a little further with your order before you wait on the line for hours like I did.
 
I basically changed the phone to the 6 Plus, saw the delivery state 3-4 weeks, close the browser, and the reclick on the reservation email. When it took me back to the site, it had the 6 Plus there with the 9/19 delivery date. My reservation number was B601.

This works, but I'm wondering if it will actually ship 9/19. What do they do when you switch models? Pull one out of thin air for you?

No I have one that is reserved with a line that has unlimited data and I don't want to upgrade. That is set for the 19th delivery. The second order I have is set for October 1st delivery. For me to go to the apple store is kind of difficult with a new born in the house. I know that place will be a mad house. I can't imagine being in and out in a few minutes. However I have three different reservation numbers. Was all your numbers matching up from the emails you got? I have three different B5 numbers.

yea everything matched fine as i had an email with a B5 number as well. That email came at about 5:30am EST

Yes, I received the 2nd email to complete. Everytime I enter my reservation #, or email address it doesn't pull it up it comes back with

"We’re sorry. We can’t find your reservation. Please verify your information and try again."

have you tried calling apple? the dude i talked to was really helpful and cool. He called me back after we disconnected, so i could cancel my verizon preorder, because he wanted to complete my order but i told him i already did and he verified everything was good and sent a free leather case for the 6 plus along with my order. needless to say that dude will be getting a perfect survey.

Thats super annoying. I would suggest calling Apple. Maybe they can do something? Do you have a screenshot of the reservation post when you got it?

That exact thing happen to me while i was on the phone with apple. I asked him if he could locate it and he was able to still see it. Then a little bit later i was able to check it myself online

I originally planned to but had to cancel a preorder i made with verizon before i could order through apple so i ended up submitting my order online and then the dude from apple called me back shortly after to confirm it for me

I did and they weren't very helpful. He said he couldnt do anything. He didn't offer anything for the long hold time. Basically said sorry....next.

I just did. Thanks for suggesting it. I originally the iPhone 6 16gb, I changed it to the Plus 128. It said 3-4 weeks. I closed the browser and did Incognito mode and it showed the deliver date of the 19th. So now I'm upgrade a dumb line instead of my Verizon unlimited data line. I was able to add applecare+. Hopefully it sticks, but I'm satisfied now. :)

I placed the order after I received the reservation notice on the app. The order went through. I just want to make sure that for some odd reason, if I ignore the reservation link and don't proceed with it, that the order I placed after the whole reservation ordeal will still be there (i.e. not get cancelled somehow).

Just being overly cautious... :eek:

No your other order is fine. If you complete the reservation on the same line then you will have an issue. If you ignore it, then it will go away.
