Just added a Maroo Moko, with discount the deal was too good to pass up. I think one of my other cases will be going back after I have a chance to compare them.

I've ordered and cancelled a few different cases since last week, but for now I'm sticking with the Maroo Moko for full coverage and a smart cover from apple. Maybe once the snap cases from incase/belkin/speck come out, ill get one to go with the smart cover (with a magnet on the back to hold the smart cover in place when open).

Ive pre-ordered the Joy Factory SmartSuit3 and Targus Slim, but i think the price plus uncertainty of quality made me rethink the choices. I'll wait for some reviews before making any other purchase...

This is exactly what I did, too. Got the Maroo Moko for commuting to school on the subway and running around the city. Apple gifted me a Smart Cover, so I'll keep it for home use with a SmartShell [waiting for Speck to get back to me on availability].

i have to admit i already deviated from this plan. i wound up ordering the smartsuit3 from joy factory because it offered everything i was looking for in a one piece case. no more waiting for a hard shell back for me (read too many stories of rear magnets being pulled off by smart covers).

I went with the Maroo Mana. But only because of the great deal.

I will research more cases as they become available and will eventually buy the slimmest one with the best reviews.

For home use I have the smart cover, and that is all.

I just ordered a DODOcase. You have to check out their collections for the new iPad. Love it!
They will start shipping the cases on the 19th on a first come first served basis.

Does anyone know if the Belkin Snap Shield clear works with the iPad 3? Is there a new microphone or something at the bottom that this cover encloses? I wanted to purchase one but I doubt they're all for the iPad 2's and may not be compatible.

:)

I ended up getting this from Amazon for $7 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004UEWCEO/

comes with cover, pouch and screen protector.

In the end I'll likely get the blue zaggfolio with white keyboard, but that's not shipping till the end of the month/maybe april.

Even if by chance this cover doesn't fit, I'm sure the pouch will and I can always use cover on the 2.

I ordered the Maroo Moko leather case for the iPad [new] for $22.49, 1/2 off. Though I have the Smart Cover, I couldn't pass this up.

I like the function, just not the style. For some reason I don't like leather for cases.

I keep leaning towards an Otterbox, as I did with the iPad 2. Then I remember that I wound up sticking with the Smart Cover and never had an issue anyway.

Decisions decisions!

I'll very likely use the Smart Cover, or nothing at all, when I am at home. But I'll be putting the Maroo on it when I take it with me for better all-around protection.

I didn't want to cover up iPad's gorgeous design so I opted for something invisible but that prevents my iPad from being scratched (I HATE scratches).

For the front -> PowerSupport Crystal Clear
For the back -> BestSkinsEver

That should do it as a protection when using the iPad.
For trips, or just for when I'm not going to use it for a while, I'll get a sleeve.

That's it! I think that unless I had a GOOD reason for covering the design with cases (maybe if I worked in dirty environments where the chances of dropping the iPad are high) I wouldn't do it. It worsen the overall experience, making it look uglier and thicker than it is.

The same applies for the iPhone, with which I use power support for both the front and the back, and then a sock to protect it a little bit when I'm not using it (the iPhone is always with me).

I've gone for this - largely because it's cheap and states iPad 3 and therefore ought to fit. If not, having bought it via Amazon I'm sure I can return it, but at the price it's not a big gamble:

It's by Tecknet and although it's fake leather, in my mind this doesn't matter provided that it's relatively durable. Plus, I far prefer a folio-style case to these magnetic curtain things. They just look terribly over-priced to me.

Re-Ordered the Marware Micro-shell for the "New iPad"...

....and a Red Smart cover from Apple

The combo worked great on my iPad 2 and it still retains the slim form factor s well.

Marware Microshell - Black
Apple Smart Cover - Black

Now I need to find a slim and simple sleeve for it.

Why not the Microshell folio case It has a front and back cover, plus it is cheaper by 40 bucks.

I'm planning on the Smart Cover around the house and the Otterbox Defender when on the road.

I'm holding off on buying the Otterbox for a couple of weeks to see how everyone else likes it. Plus, maybe it will be on Amazon a little cheaper by then.

Black Lexington Incipio. Pray its as good as it looks. Incipio usually has nices cases though, so Im not too worried.

ok what i have found so far ... and thoughts

This case seems to be my current favorite, look wise and features. Holds stylus and also moves in any posiition without taking ipad in and out of any clips. Water resistant, auto sleep.
Targus Versavu

Lexington Hard shell
This case seems to be a crowd favorite but i cant see myself buckling the thing closed after each use and unbuckling ... Looks nice and sleek but i think that buckle was a fail.

i really liked this case after watching reviews for it on the ipad2 but now with the new design it has me worried. There are no slots to home the ipad in when setting up different angles ... i can see the ipad keep sliding down which will really annoy me.

Always was a fan of this company with the lifetime warranty. I love the carbon fiber look of this case and it seems to have everything u would need. The only flaw to me is that u have to keep unclicking your ipad from the case when setting up angles which could damage the device.
Marware C.E.O

This is a real nice slim design case which should satisfy the masses. The $60 price tag seems a bit high for the case u get but it is what it is. The only worry i have with this case is dirt and lint getting stuck to it.
The real highlight on this case is the lightweight and slim design.
Marware Folio Shell

I am sure there are many that I have not mentioned or am not aware of. I have seen others around here but these seem to be my tops as of now. I am sure with more suggestions from others on here we will learn about more. I honestly cant wait for the youtube reviews on the cases to roll out. That is when it makes it easier to pick out a case.

That is why I'm going to send Marware CEO back, I don't like this click - unclick process. I also think it is going to damage iPAD

Targus Versavu is also my #1 case. Lexington #2 I already preordered both. I go Best Buy Fri and try to buy Targus there or order online and pick up.

Thanks God the case problem is solved for me. Now I have only one left VZ or ATT :)
