I’d like to see Apple move to bring in the game developers. I’m tired of the phylisophical discussions on pc gaming. Let’s face it, the games aren’t on the Mac. Bring home the games, everything else will follow.

What do I want to see? Apple needs to show more substance to justify those premium price tags.

The Mac has been severely neglected for years. I'd like to see the 5 year old iMac design get a much needed refresh. I'd like to see the MacBooks pricing to be adjusted to represent some kind of value for money as UK prices are a sick joke so I'd happily accept a minor refresh with at least a £200 price cut across the board.

Apple Watch needs a major refresh as one more year with the same design won't cut it.

I'd like to see the iPad Pro's get FaceID as standard. In fact, I'd like to see FaceID in the Mac. There's no reason why it can't happen aside from laziness on Apple's side. A >£2000 computer should have the latest technology on board as standard.

The iPhone 6 design needs to be retired. I'd expect to see three new 2018 iPhone models; a refresh for the iPhone X, a iPhone X refresh with a >6" screen and a iPhone X clone with an LCD screen as the 2018 budget option.

Apple needs to lower their prices, I can easily afford most stuff Apple sell yet I won't.
iPhone got quite a bit of a raise last few years, I want that X but not going to pay €1129-€1350 for it.
MacbookPro's have insane pricing nowadays, the Oled Touch Bar is not worth the extra ....what...€500 or more price.
HomePod too expensive.
And so on.

There should really be a poll for this too.

My wish list would include

1. More configurable Macbook Pro and iMacs. Let me upgrade the RAM, SSD if I want and stop soldering stuff to the motherboard.
2. Greater support for eGPUs or more capable internal GPUs
3. An updated 24" monitor

Overall I'd like to see more focus on the Pro market and Apple to start listening to their non iOs users.

Being able to put Widgets on the home screen in MacOS would be nice too.

OS X had that feature before, few people used it I guess so it's gone, can't remember which version, think it was OS X 10.5(amongst other versions), there was also another App/plugin called Geektool.

I partially agree with you. When value for money is great, more people would buy Apple products, yet you pay high prices for outdated hardware. Still an Apple product is a great buy, but when prices are that high, you'd expect the latest cpu's, better gpu's and so on.

What I want:

A MacBook Pro that targets more on speed and power, less on battery life and thickness. Add an Intel i9 mobile with 8 or 10 cores with 32GB of RAM and I thing you've got a real Pro MacBook. Or call it the MacBook Ultimate, so you don't have to adjust the Pro line.

Make MacOS great, fast and lean again. Don't release a major version every year, but improve what's already there. When it's perfect, then go and add features and those dispicible and unnecessary emoji's.

A quad core Mac Mini
a quad core Macbook pro 13 without touchbar

a new icloud like dropbox and with same or better prices

Definitely a new Mac mini. But why not combine the modular Mac with the mini. Base module would be the mini. Add-on modules take it to whatever pro level you want.

MacBooks were reasonable affordable before, now with this OLED Touch Bar they got just too expensive, is it really worth paying (Yes) more than €500 (more) for the Touchbar.
Top model MBP 15" is €3300 without upgrades like a faster CPU or bigger SSD, insane.

In our recent What to Expect post, we covered everything we think we'll see from Apple in 2018 based on the current rumors that are circulating about the company's 2018 plans.

Three new iPhones are on the horizon, one a followup to the iPhone X, one that will serve as an "iPhone X Plus" with a larger OLED display, and one with an LCD display that will be positioned as a low to midrange device with a cheaper price tag. Apple's first smart speaker, the HomePod, will come out in 2018, and we're also expecting a revamped iPad Pro, refreshed Macs, and new software, but there's always a chance for a wildcard update or new product that will surprise us all.

A high-end modular Mac Pro, new original TV shows, AR smart glasses, and autonomous driving software are all products Apple is working on, with no official release date known. We want to hear from the MacRumors community -- what are you expecting or hoping to see Apple release in 2018?

Are there specific features you're hoping Apple will implement in iOS 12, tvOS 12, watchOS 5, or macOS 10.14? Popular wishlist items for last year included a dark mode for iOS, a customizable Control Center (which happened!), animated icons, iPhone complications, a swipe-based keyboard, offline Maps and Siri, and more.

Let us know what you want to see in the comments, and make sure to check out our What to Expect post to get a glimpse at the current rumors. Apple's plans for 2018 will become more clear in the early months of the year, and as always, we'll be covering every rumor that pops up in-depth here at MacRumors.

The MacRumors forums are also a rich resource for discussing upcoming products and rumors, and with so many exciting changes on the horizon for 2018, our forums are the place to be for lively discussions on what's coming.

We'd like to thank all of our readers and forum members for making MacRumors the absolute best source for Apple news, rumors, and advice on the web. We wouldn't be here without you, and we look forward to yet another rumor-packed year in 2018.

a iphone x styled ipad pro
[doublepost=1514893173][/doublepost]An ipad x

– New modular (self-upgradeable hard disk and memory) Mac mini at good prices.
– New iPhone SE with improved camera (esp. resolution) + keeping the standard headphone jack + possible keeping the more angular form so one need not use a cover to hold it - they should make short stretches on the side "rugged" on all models to improve the grip without cover.

I would like to see a couple of things this year:

iPad Pro with Face ID and smaller bezels
Apple Watch Series 4 with better battery life
HomePod release date
iMac redesign would also be nice

Looking at many of the responses here, I am starting to understand why so many people are so mad at Apple. Assuming their desires are legitimate, they want what Apple obviously cannot and will not provide. Is it delusion that makes them clamour for a laptop with older ports despite knowing full well the direction is headed in.

Not only that, top model 15" (without upgrades) were something like €2400-€2500 just a few years ago, so just a few years ago they were €800 cheaper.
Next time I buy one in Hongkong I guess, it's just about €1000 less than here in Europe.

I want to see a touch bar external keyboard. If they are serious about it catching on, it can't be limited exclusively to laptop users. I don't know any professionals who do everything on a laptop.

You're lucky (I guess), a top of the line MBP is about €800 less in Singapore than in most of Europe.
Prices need to go down to what they used to be.

I want a 5mm thick black Face ID supporting OLED iPad Pro, less bezel, no home button, all glass with a stainless steal frame like the X.

I agree, I think they should release an optional keyboard with Touch Bar that replaces the function keys. It’s a great tool for using in Final Cut Pro X and would be great to use on an iMac.

You won’t get OLED on an iPad yet, they may do Face ID this year tho. I want Face ID on the iPad it’s a great feature that should replace Touch ID on all devices.

Lol ok. You obviously don’t recall 2000/2001 Titanium PowerBook G4 with its pricing exactly matching the 15” 2016/7 MacBook Pro’s.
