So no, that doesn't solve the problem. I understand there is some number (I personally believe miniscule) who like the touch bar
No, it's 'not a problem.' You either didn't understand that members post or failed to read it. It's not about those who like the Touch Bar, it's about those who find the actual usefulness for it pending what they need it for. Final Cut Pro X is a great example of that and how it works almost seamlessly when editing.
I happen to own the 2016 13" w/Touch Bar model. There's nothing wrong with it. What do you want to see changed?
All I want to see in 2018 is Tim and Com[any in prison for massive consumer fraud. I'd prefer a good old fashioned Gibbet for style points but 'tis no longer fashionable.
Dissolve Apple and distribute the proceeds to shareholders.
Massive consumer fraud/activity should result in corporate death penalty.
Do this ONCE and every slime oozing Corporate Officer in the country will think twice before acting badly.
More transparency from Apple would be nice.
From a product standpoint, I'd like to see the following in 2018: Updated SE, updated iPad Mini
I am looking forward to the HomePod as I have purposely held off on buying a Google Home and Amazon Alexa since our house is ingrained in the Apple ecosystem.
A 5.2" iPhone X mini would be a 4" iPhone replacement. I do agree they should go down that route, but maybe in time. The next SE may be a more traditional design while the one after follows the iPhone X design. That would also allow more time to miniaturize the electronics or better hide the notch.SE2 with forcetouch, or 4.7" iPhone X mini (physical size of SE)
Stable iOS, and slowing of releasing new iOS-breaking features.
Updated AirPods to look less like white earwax is dripping out my ears.
More granular controls of do not disturb.
Phone calls to stop taking up the entire screen when a call comes in (if desired by user). A simple pull down notification will do.
You do realize this is the third time an Android experience like this has been tried right? Sorry 4th.
Motorola tried twice.
HP once - they no longer make an Android phone btw.
And now Samsung.
AppleTV does a good job in a sense if you just want a bigger screen. Yet for keyboard & mouse control we still wait for all functions to arrive. Apple wants you to buy an iPad. (Funny Siri intelligence predicted every word after Apple in my last sentence)
Even though you and others might be happy with the current MacBook Pro there are many that are not.I happen to own the 2016 13" w/Touch Bar model. There's nothing wrong with it. What do you want to see changed?
Yeah, basically the story of Apple's success is making something that's not totally new but is the first successful version, no matter how many "experts" complain about it.All those companies tried with other features and failed that Apple tried and had success with so that's not a reason. Even inventing a phone shouldn't have been attempted if we think like this..although Apple selling iPads is a more likely reason to not introduce this feature. Shame.
They'll probably keep the 5 design a little longer. It costs them very little at this point to use that design and Winstron has their machines and assemblers in full swing by now.A 5.2" iPhone X mini would be a 4" iPhone replacement. Wireless future? Lol - wireless is for noobs who either don't have decent wired internet connections, or don't understand the damage caused to DNA by wireless radiation 1m from your head, or suffer ADD from not checking their Facebook feed every 2 minutes. Get a life. Live long and prosper.
As I wrote that I wondered if someone would make that statement! I don't want Apple to return to its days of happiness with the smaller and select client base. A lot of good has come from the creation of the iPhone, though I could do without the widespread narcissism it's also brought about. I'd just like for people to make use of all that amazing knowledge which is so readily accessible with these handy devices, and school themselves on the facts and science of why their batteries have degraded (small recent example). So you want Apple to drop all the iToys and return to PowerMacs. That would separate the wheat from the chaff so to speak.![]()
