Trepang2... FPS done right
You're not the one trapped with the enemies, they're the ones trapped with you. Trepang2 has some of the best single player FPS gameplay I've seen, and I've played a lot over the years. Some complain the narrative is weak, it exists if you're willing to look and can think, equally Trepang2 is about bringing pain & destruction to your foes. If you like F.E.A.R., you'll love Trepang 2...

AAA studios should have a long, good look as this one. An indie game produced by a team of 4 across all major platforms... Not soulless slop produced by a small army of devs that crashes & burns due a complete lack of imagination, weak optimisation & needless forced politics. Doubts just check out the comments on any platform...

Can see this being a contender for game of the year. Optimisation so far is spot on 👍👍 This is how games should be made...

Yeah, runs pretty well on my handheld PC. I did decide to sacrifice some things for the hair strand setting lol. It looks so much better than with it off.
End of the day the RE engine was specifically designed for Resident Evil and it shows. On a Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, RTX 5070 Ti, 32B RAM, 4X4 NVME SSD RE Requiem is running at over 100FPS at 1440P. Mostly max settings with raytracing on high, might push to path tracing.

Wish more studios would take the same approach instead of folding and going with the generic UE5 which IMO is needlessly complex for the devs & needlessly heavy for the players. CDPR have dumped their Red Engine for UE5 which I think is a negative...

Resident Evil Requiem is a fantastic looking game and allows many to fully enjoy thx to top tier optimisation and intelligent gameplay.

Edit: Path tracing is a no go, too much load on the 5070 Ti however DLAA is a go at 1440P 😎

Been resident evil since yesterday. Didn’t finish it yet but loving the blend of gameplay between the first person and third person games in the past library. Even better is they give you the option to change your perspectives if you prefer one over the other

Been playing Resident Evil since PS1, franchise has had its up's and downs Requiem is a standout game well worthy of the 30th year. Was only yesterday when I bought the PS1 with a free game, that being Resident Evil. Still playing in 2026 thx to GOG. Requiem is a stunning game, no bones about it, potentially game of the decade...

I feel so old. I remember playing resident evil when it first released and it was still a PlayStation Big Box release. I agree there was some up and downs (I still have code Veronica on Dreamcast, I never finished it yet) but capcom’s been knocking it out of the park lately!

I like the original trilogy, Requiem brings us back to Raccoon City 😎 Others are decent games but don't work for me as I want continuation, not distraction. Deep into Resident Evil HD Remaster & Resident Evil 0 thx to GOG, really like RE 0 as need to think to play. Requiem on an entirely different level, well worthy of the 30th year Capcom did it right...

Another one joins the ranks. Clive Barker's Undying, GOG has the Undying Renewal mod so can directly instal from them, then add in the HiDef textures to bring up the game 😎

Is a cracking story by one of the masters, now brought closer to 2026 🙂

If you miss Elder Scrolls at its prime; Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim this is a must play. An indie studio that's managed to capture the lightning in a bottle that Bethesda once used to have. The art style, music, combat, mechanics, writing, exploration & roleplaying are sheer passion. The devs patching and adding free updates to the game; bug and performance fixes, perks, free DLC, and now the game's first expansion have come out at a steady rate.

Players reviews are very solid, watch a no spoiler on YT after the latest patch and you'll get the picture. Latest patch fixes the balancing & difficulty spikes. Think like a darker more ethereal Skyrim, better graphics. Narrative is more engaging for me than Skyrim with some impressive locations even in the early game that are a joy to explore. Wanted The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered but is overpriced & bugged needing mods to sort it out. So, waiting on Skyblivion (full mod game) on GOG as will be free and potentially more polished.

Deliver us the Moon is currrently on sale over at steam - $5.00
Is a great play, recently installed on my new system. Before I knew it 4 hours flew by, was lost in the game. Have owned for a good while. Both Deliver us the Moon & Deliver us Mars are great narrative games strongly rec'd. $5 US instant buy, as is a deep & compelling narrative. Play and you will see...

I started it this morning, just trying to get my sea legs so to speak.

The controls are generally what you expect, its 3rd person perspective - not my first choice but its not a show stopper. Game pacing is slow, but not in a bad way. It may pick up, as I'm still on earth just moving about the station prior to take off.

For 5 bucks its already a good buy

I'm just sitting down to play A Plague Tale: Innocence. I actually came across the soundtrack for it's sequel on YouTube a few days ago 😂 I've done my best to avoid looking up anything that would give spoilers, but so far everything I've seen has said both games are great...so I bought both and am going in with somewhat higher expectations!

No one Marathon'ing? I am considering buying it as soon as Geforce Now supports it.
It’s multiplayer with a focus on MP, without a solo story and that’s why I’m not that interested at this point. 😶

“Bungie’s new take on the old MacOS trilogy is an extraction shooter pitting teams of three runners against each other in a fight for resources. There’s no singleplayer experience this time, but there’s still a season-to-season story to follow.”

Based on your reccomendation, despite knowing you like darker games more than I do, I took a chance and… so far this has paid off for a new original feeling elderscrolls-esq RPG! 🥳 It’s got a good atmosphere, good game play, nice visuals. I did a lot of reading about builds and am still getting used to combat. I picked magic, although you can multi-task, but at this point I feel like a weakling, which is maybe on purpose, at the beginning, weak and stuck in a dungeon for who knows how long… but some dude let me out! I did discover/confirm that if you attack an adversary head on, it’s tougher than getting behind them via a dash or surprise, but as a rule I knew that. ☺️

If you lure enemies to the guy who freed you, might find he'll take care of them, and you can get the benefit of what they drop 🙂 I opted for a fighter build, that might be a regret for a first play of Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon... That said have made to the Horns of the South (hub), so will keep cracking on...

The Dungeon level is fairly short and linear, however the path is not always obvious and as ever exploration pays. This game you're not the chosen one, nor a champion, just someone who falls into a circumstance. Definitely a game with huge replay value especially given how your choices actually matter unlike many others...

Deliver us the moon has been an engaging game, though I'm generally not a fan of time based puzzles/objectives but this one has it set that its not terribly hard.

The story is unfolding nicely, I just got to the moon and I just fixed the little robot companion.

I'm approaching endgame of Deliver us the moon. Story line is solid, a little predictable, it was quite evident what happened to the colonists from nearly the get go.

There's more timed puzzles, which again I'm not a fan of, but they've implemented this in a decent way and while it may take 2 or 3 tries, you don't lose a lot of progress if the time expires.

One thing that feels natural, and I didn't even notice, is that the game slips between 3rd person perspective and first person.

Overall is a solid game in the genre. Deliver us Mars is also worth a play, just wait on a deal as won't disappoint... Read or listen to At the Mountains of Madness, then play Conarium... You wont be disappointed 😎

Finished the game, I will say the final challenge was harder then it out to have been and I think an epilogue would have tied up the loose ends a lot more. There's some threads untied imo, not real cliff hangers just loose threads but overall an excellent game.

Edit: Just wanted to point out, its not a large expansive game, I did in about 6 hours and got 15 our 32 achievements. I'm not one of those one hundred percenters I just like to play the game and I gain an achievement so be it. Its also not an open game, you're largely directed where to go, and I don't mean that in a bad way either. What it does, it does very well
