The order page now says it has been shipped to the store and will be available for collection on 10th, a day earlier than the ETA at the time of order. I find it difficult to believe that it would take them ten days to get it from China to UK! Still keeping my hopes high of getting the machine sometime next week.

It took 6 days for my BTO to reach me. Also in the UK. Apple tends to over estimate.

BTO? But yes, I am hoping the whole Apple-under-promises-over-delivers thing comes through in my case.

It roughly takes a full week (7 days) from the moment you get the shipped notification. I think they do deliveries in batches as opposed to individual ones

Be patient...it is worth the wait. Have been enjoying my new 16" since Wed...10 days earlier than projected. Store pickup was about a 10 minute wait. Packaging, condition and operation have all been flawless. File transfer thru migration seems to have been 100%, although it took awhile. So take heart and good luck. Later Applefans!

That's sage advice. But as it happens, I am flying off to Australia on 8th for a work trip and won't be back till Saturday. I ordered it when I did thinking that it will be here before that considering the past trends (and other people's experience here).

It will be good to have the laptop before 8th otherwise I would have to rely on a ThinkPad (!) that IT folks at work have secured for me as a temp machine. Those are nice enough but I don't really trust Windows for my work. I probably should have ordered as soon as preorders opened.

BTO meaning build to order MacBook pro.

Ha! I thought for a moment that it might meant that but dismissed it thinking why would we be using engineering management jargon here! Clearly I was wrong.

Got my receipt by email today. I take that as a sign that things are moving a long. Will be interesting to see if the DHL tracking updates over night.

Just had mine delivered by DHL. Overall it took 12 days from placing an order to having it in my hands. Not great, not terrible ;) Obviously Apple has under-estimated and over-delivered by 1 day so I'm happy with that.

Mine (i9 2.3, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD) was ordered Nov.22 and was due to be delivered to the local Apple Store (UK) on Dec.9 but I got a text today advising that it’s ready for collection. Which is nice. Will be picking it up tomorrow :)

My card just got charged so I imagine it would be here in a day or two.

Im in madrid, i ordered on nov 20th... it took 3 days to go from china to holland, since 26-29 then i got here today

How we're you able to see the shipping information from China to Holland? My shipping information hasn’t changed from Friday. Would like to know if it’s in Holland or still in China.

It is difficult to get any precise update from the Order page if you have opted for "Collection from the store". I just got off the phone with Apple rep, and she told me to expect it to arrive by 5th whereas order page says 10th.

Go to UPS.com tracking and hit "Track by Reference Number". Then try entering any of the following:
  • Your web order number
  • Your phone number (without area code)
  • The serial number of your machine (find it in your Apple invoice)
You'll be able to see where your machine is located as it travels to the store.
