Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)- 94% RTAS. I enjoyed the banter between father and son, however I preferred the first two, and some of the gimmicks were ehh. Rats instead of snakes. When does a ship propeller stick half way out of the water and is spinning, just so a boat can slowly be chewed up? ;)
Btw, the 4th one, The Crystal Skull was complete and utter crap. 😥

Cat a Ballou (1965)- This was a hit in the 60s, a comedy Western, which I really enjoyed as a child, but it’s just ok now. Lee Marvin won a Best Actor Oscar for his role as Kid Sheleen.

When it's an unloaded cargo ship, that's also possibly being deballisted, possibly for dry dock and service :)

Are those boats going some place? That scene reminds me very much of the airplane prop in the first one. :)

Given that you watched Cat Ballou, have you ever seen Paint Your Wagon with Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood, and Jean Seberg? I have found it to be funny each time that I have seen it. I believe that it is also the only movie in which Clint Eastwood sings.

I like Paint Your Wagon, have Waterhole #3, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence, The War Wagon, and The Magnificent Seven in my library, and am thinking about renting The Hallelujah Trail. :)

Birds of Prey (2020)- I’ve rarely been a Gotham City fan, strong lead, decent choreographed fights, minimal story, nothing memorable and I finished it, but will not be adding it to my library. :)

Oblivion [2013]

As recently discussed not that long ago, ‘Oblivion’ is A fan favorite from a few members in here.

To me, Sci-fi movies are some of the most difficult To choreograph in my opinion, because it requires so much CGI, main stream acting to actually fit the narrative of something futuristic, which either is believable for viewer immersion or laughable.

This movie is incredible, because the majority of it actually is CGI, the acting is on-par from Cruise/supporting cast with Freeman. But anyone that watches this movie, knows the soundtrack is mind blowing Top notch with M83 behind the scenes.

5/5 on RP’s scale.😁

Oh, just a Quick rhetorical question, does Tom Cruise seriously ever age? Like seriously, the guy looks the same seven years ago as he does today. Not to mention, he’s probably in better physical shape than about 50% of people that I know half his age. The Dude Has some seriously ‘god-like-aging’ genetics.😁

I've never seen this in it's entirety. I'll have to check it out.

I liked it... not the best film, but it had some good scenes and the plot moved along nicely!!!

So what makes you think I’m gonna sit here on a Friday night, in my leather recliner on Macrumors and watch ‘The last man on earth’ from a YouTube link that you posted? You know, nobody watches these links to the YouTube movies that you’re posting, right? (In silence ...Relentless Looks around in the dark, and play the YouTube link to watch ‘The last man on earth’, as I did at 5 AM two weeks ago with ‘When mars invaded earth.’)

Mmmm, because that's literally what I was doing. Friday night, leather reclining sofa, MacRumors on iPad, YouTube movie on the big screen.

I mean, who wouldn't want to do that!

I feel a little superior now sitting in my plush leather chair (not a recliner) with my iPad, watching HBO. 😝

Why would anyone choose to crawl into a small utility passage, when you could just group up with your remaining survivors in a central safe location with the flamethrower. :):)

Watched this yesterday. I low budget British, feminist, revenge, slasher movie.
Very dark, clever and funny.

It's terrific, and love me some Alive Lowe (she wrote, directed, and is the star (pictured above).

If you like dark comedic suspense/horror, and her, I'd suggest Sightseers, directed by Ben Wheatley (his 2011 indie thriller Kill List is also fantastic), starring and written by Alice Lowe :)

What movie have you seen and more importantly was it any good? :)

Watched Shutter Island, a psychological thriller. It just did not click for me. Without giving the story away, it took a turn I did not expect, which is not necessarily bad, but the execution was below my expectations.

On the other hand we just finished up the Lord of the Rings trilogy for the umpteenth time. You don't see epics like this very often. :)

If you ever wondered how they made 6' tall actors hobbit size, besides using short doubles for long shots, this is another method- forced perspective.

Watching some Channel 5 movie about a nut job daughter in law who's getting back in touch with her Mum who abandoned her. (Sure, it's a day time move...but I love 'em...)

Azrael.
