Slyvester was much better.
Not for me, diverted too much from the origin to suit Hollywood of the day...

Although Karl Urban is keen to do a sequel to DREDD being a fan of the character, seems unlikely as the film was independently funded that didn't make expected revenue, mostly due to poor/yttihs marketing IMO. Best we can hope for is a TV serialisation that stays true to DREDD's character. I know, I know a big stretch in 2020.
TBH DREDD would be better suited to a good adult series given the depth of history, journey and slow revelation of Judge DEATH. If ever happens odds are we'll get something tepid at best, likely worse. If so I'd far rather they didnt...

As good as it was for the 1950s, exceeded by The Thing (1982) Carpenter’s masterpiece much more true to source material, and I love Kurt Russell in that.
As great as that was for the 1950’s, The Blob (1988) is just an outstanding remake with the help of technology, and a good story that exceeds the original.Tonight I'm going to watch The Blob. Original vintage version released 1958. I went to see it with my older sister when it first came out. Remember it well. LOL

LOL beat me to it. Totally agree the best of the three and closest to the the source. I particularly like how Carpenter nailed the fear and mistrust between the crew, up to and even their own self doubts...As good as it was for the 1950s, exceeded by The Thing (1982) Carpenter’s masterpiece much more true to source material, and I love Kurt Russell in that.
I personally thought the ‘The Thing’ From 2011 was legit scary. Very well done and leaves the viewer totally hooked until the end. ‘Scary movies’ are hard to come by, this is one of those.

The 2011 film does, I just found it lacked the deep feeling of fear the team had for one another, possibly as there was a little too much exposition. In the 1982 film it's more subtle with the fear within slowly exposed. Ultimately The Thing 2011 is a good Sci-Fi horror of which there are few these days.

You have some great insight with films.
So I watched the 1982 version of “The thing“ with Kurt Russell last night, and I have to say John Carpenter’s version is better over the 2011 variant. It’s interesting to see how he uses a lot of the same tactics as he does for the Halloween series with the music, effects, gore, ect. In terms of creepiness on a 1 to 10 scale, the 1982 version definitely receives a 10. I mean, I had to double check my locks on my doors before I went to bed last night.😁

A tense and well portrayed/acted Sci-Fi thriller that delivers with accomplishment. Story is out there, yet always remains grounded in current day science. You can get behind the character's and the over arcing story, well worth the watch...

Heck, you can close your eyes and just enjoy the incredible soundtrack.
I just started “As Good As it Gets.”
