Doh! Fixed...?

It’s a Wonderful Life (1946)- The magic of movies, when it happens. ;) I love the character portrayals in this movie, especially Lionel Barrymore as Mr. Potter. Incredible performances all around.

George Bailey vs Mr. Potter regarding affordable loans to working class citizens provided by the Savings and Loan.
“You’re all businessmen here,” says George Bailey (James Stewart). “Doesn’t it make them better citizens? Doesn’t it make them better customers? You … you said … what’d you say a minute ago? They had to wait and save their money before they even ought to think of a decent home. Wait? Wait for what? Until their children grow up and leave them? Until they’re so old and broken down that they … Do you know how long it takes a working man to save $5,000? Just remember this, Mr. Potter, that this rabble you’re talking about … they do most of the working and paying and living and dying in this community. Well, is it too much to have them work and pay and live and die in a couple of decent rooms and a bath?” https://www.thewrap.com/its-a-wonderful-life-70th-anniversary-donald-trump/
Rewatched of course, it’s that time of year. :D
This movie was clearly before my time :), but somehow I latched onto it as a teen and it’s one of my favorite stories painting a portrait of the early-mid 20th Century small town America.

Tonight I will watch my favorite Christmas movie: Die Hard.

"Now I have a machine gun. Ho ho ho."
Yes, a very enjoyable movie. And this was on yahoo.com today:

Talk about timing!

Spider-Man Homecoming. Not seen it before. Entertaining enough.
The script writing is so disorganized with that film, even though I do somewhat like Tom Holland as the ‘new’ Spiderman. It just can’t match Toby McGuire’s level of talent [Directed by Sam Raimi] was able to produce with a narrative true to its original form.

Agreed. But I like they tried to do something a bit different rather than the one that was just a reboot of the original story after Toby McGuire’s version.

Watched Wonder Woman 84 today. It was very average and kind of cartoonish at the end. It could have been a much tighter film.

Boring, predictable, and downright stupid with idiotic scenes all over.

The fact that they used the theme from Sunshine like that is automatic disqualifier.

A Christmas Carol (1938)- My favorite version.

I couldn’t make it farther than about 30 minutes or so. It was terrible.

Remaining 90 minutes are even worse. You should definitely check the fight with the Cats-like (“Cats” as in the awful movie) villain towards the end. It’s so bad it’s almost enjoyable.
