^. The Original 1995 Judge Dredd was absolutely horrible. The script was horrible in the same regard. And as much as I like Stallone in certain movies like Rocky and Cobra, he doesn’t fit well in other roles, but he was widely used in the 90’s because of his physical shape and his popularity with Rambo.

However, the 2012 Dredd movie with Karl Urban was meant to be written totally different in a very dark, gritty and way more violent than the 1995 version. The only thing remotely similar to both versions of Dredd, was The character was based on law-enforcement.

We just happened to pull up the free movies (with commercials) at Vudu, streaming service. We don’t usually watch voluntarily any movie with commercials but this list reinforced that position. ;) Is this the place were aweful movies come to eek out some revenue via commercials? 😆
  • Boobs (as in female breasts, close up of 2 breasts in a US flag motif bra).
  • Baby Sitters (with a picture of a female, torso taking her shirt off).
  • Dirty Teachers (A waist down shot of a woman in a dress standing with her legs spread).
  • Troll Hunter
  • Ogre

If you’re not sure about finishing it, you’re not alone. It’s polarizing. It takes some turns I wasn’t expecting and didn’t want to see but ultimately it does come to an end. Not the ending I wanted but it’ll have to do. It’s like a Lemony Snicket story for adults. DARK. SO DARK. Puppies are a good antidote for this movie, I would imagine.
But, but...you show a CAT?😀

I’m cats and dogs. Sunsets and sunrises. I am the harvest of summer and the larder of winter. I walk in fields of green and barren tundras of lichen and ice. In short, I’m complex, ok?. Also my avatar is a cat from my neighborhood that I ran into one day.

Hmmmm....you should watch 'Behind Her Eyes'......

First time seeing this. Easily a top 5 film for me.

It's nearly perfect. The plot is suspenseful, the art and cinematography created all kinds of new rules. The use of surrealism is incredible for the time.

And the score is a perfect complement.

A forgotten solid thriller from the late 90s.

In some ways it seems like a bit of a sequel, or inspired by the Fugitive, especially since it has Tommy Lee Jones in a very similar role. However I still found it enjoyable, I love watching this era of Ashley Judd.

Total Recall (1990)- 78% Rotten Tomatoes Audience Score. I really like the vibe. Another movie based on an excellent Phillip Dick story. No Pyramid Mine in the book though as I recall. :)

I like the concept of post-apocalyptic movies, where there’s like wasteland, sorta ‘Mad Max’ theme. That’s kind of what this movie is, but more of a realistic narrative of a man (Guy Pearce) who has his car hijacked, and along the way of his revenge path, picks up somebody (Robert Pattinson) that was part of the heist to track down who is responsible.

I admit, I think the movie itself suffers from major climax points that will keep the viewer locked in. I really like Guy Pearce, I think he’s underrated and not mentioned enough, and of course we know who Robert Pattinson is. I don’t want to say this is a ‘good’ movie, I think it’s average at best, but it’s another one checked off my list that I’ve been wanting to watch. The movie was filmed entirely in Australia.

Fun fact:

The car that has hijacked in the movie is a ‘Holden Commodore V8’, which would also be the rebranded Pontiac G8 that was manufactured by GM around the 2008/09’ era United States. Pretty cool car if you’re into V-8/muscle cars like myself.

I halfway watched “I Care A Lot” on Netflix. I say halfway because I started getting tired halfway through the movie and woke up near the end. From what I saw it was pretty good.

Now that’s a long list. Which of these do you like? ;) I like many of them.
I've watched (and enjoyed) almost all of them.

One that I hadn't seen until just recently is Triangle, a very well done and pleasantly creepy example of the genre.
