The Richard Gere film is Internal Affairs (1990).
Looks like Infernal Affairs with English subtitles is available on Prime in the US.
Yeah, and on Netflix DVD. Typed "internal" instead of "infernal".

Doe they actually describe how the mechanics of time travel works in this movie (Tenet)? I’m hesitant to watch it.
I checked it and they still hope you’ll buy it. I don’t buy unseen movies. They kind of did but just as I was thinking to myself 'this doesn't make much sense', a character on screen literally said 'don't try to make sense of it'.......it's certainly worth a watch but it was by no means a good movie. You may feel differently.Watch it and let us know what you think.
Really enjoyed it and want to see the second, though I'll probably have to wait until it's available for streaming. Most things still closed where I am.My mom of all people recommended this movie. She just went, and saw the sequel in the theaters, as her first in theater experience in 1.5 years.
Horror movies are not my bag, but this movie is really masterfully done, and escapes many of the tropes of the genre.
If you have the ability to watch it on a surround sound setup, I highly recommend it the audio mastering is excellent.
Not a big horror fan myself, but thought this was enjoyable enough. As you said it’s not your typical horror. I’ll watch the sequel when it’s on one of my channels. Can’t see myself going to the cinema again tbh.![]()

I’ve been to the cinema less than once a year for the last 10 years. I’d happily pay to watch a movie at home on release. The only reason I ever go is to avoid spoilers.I miss going to the movies. I haven't been since Tenet last year, where we were 2 of 10 people in a giant IMAX auditorium.
I am lucky enough to have a setup that brings a bit of bomabast to home movie viewing, and tries to capture some of the theater experience. Nothing will ever replace actually getting up, putting on clothes, and driving to a dark place where phones are banned to focus on a movie.
I just haven't been inspired to see anything in the theater yet. I will probably head out to black widow, next month. It looks like it deserves to be watched big, and loud.
A great illustration of what happens when you don’t listen to your parents.![]()

Mulholland Drive (2001) by David Lynch.
This is by far one of the best movies ever made. Acting is perfect, and Naomi Watts' breaking role is above superb. Direction is incredible, so many things to notice after each viewing. Soundtrack is just amazing. It's one of those movies that will make you think. It MUST be watched without any distraction, no phones, no interruptions or anything as it's mostly about flow. Only movie that gave me nightmares and it's not even a horror movie.
(This time I watched in its Criterion Edition)
Let me know if you like it.OK.
I gotta see this now...
This is an outstanding film. Lynch is on the order of Kubrick, IMO.Mulholland Drive (2001) by David Lynch.

Nomadland
Well, that was quite disappointing. I was really looking forward to this film. I was fully aware of the subject matter and issues but I found it was so low key that very little happened to make me feel any attachment to the characters. This has cemented my view that the Academy and its members have lost the plot (no pun intended).
I have not yet been able to see Parasite as it did not play here with English subtitles. I subscribed to Disney+ for one month just to get access to Nomadland. It also has Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri which got very good reviews so I will give it a try. In addition, Isle of Dogs is there. I saw it on a plane a couple of years ago so now will see it on a bigger screen. Directed by Wes Anderson who certainly makes quirky films.I've been disappointed in the last few Best Pictures. Nomadland I found kinda boring, and I found the family in Parasite completely unlikeable. Maybe I just didn't understand what people saw in Parasite that I did not.
