What can I use to check the battery life ?
I use iStat Pro. Check out this link to download it.

It gives you stats on all aspects of your Mac- CPU, battery, network, memory and the fan speed and one thing that I really like is all the internal temperatures.![]()
All in all I'm really happy with my purchase, and my first mac, it'll probably take me a few more days until I'm fully comfortable with it, but... so far, so good![]()
Congratulations on your purchase and welcome back to the light side.![]()
haha, thanks![]()
It really is an easy machine to use, I was surprised at how easy it was to set up and to get comfortable with it. For the most part, I'm doing everything I was on my windows notebook, it's just the little things that most people take for granted that I'm having trouble getting used to. Like copying files (option key needed to help with that), and organizing, figuring out where things go on the harddisk (like how most programs in windows install to the program files directory)
But, man, it's really easy so far, just a few more days and I think I should be up to speed with everything I need to be.
Though... I don't know why they gave me two apple decals, I don't have any idea what I'm going to do with them.

Hey guys, got my macbook two days ago -- love it! You'll probably hate me, but I had to Bootcamp WinXP on it (for work reasons, so I dont have to switch between computers) -- Surprisingly, it runs extremely fast, so I'm double happy.
Question, though. After calibrating the battery once, and then letting it fully charge back up, I've noticed that "Fully Charged" only goes to 99%. Is this normal?
Thanks!
Im getting this problem too, it says full charge, but sticks at 99%

How do you calibrate the battery?
How do you calibrate the battery?
Would it be a good idea to calibrate the battery, even if you never really use the computer unplugged?
Then shut down, and let it charge the entire time.
Do I need to leave it shut down? Or can it be on?
