Sadly, my B/N 16gb touchpad was cancelled. Since Sat, I've had no luck at all; and I'm just looking for 1 tablet. In a few months, on ebay, there should be many offered for less than $100. I don't mind used.

It looks like almost everyone got the email from b&n about it being cancelled. I did as well but on their site it still has me pending and my card was charged.
I understand being frustrated because of an order snafu. But hoping that American companies go out of business just because you missed out on a "deal" is disgusting.

Pre 3 | Update (European consumers)
For those interested in snatching a Pre 3 please be aware the eurostore.palm.com website is being hammered by people - but palm have not updated it yet.
I spoke to the Dublin european head office for PalmStore - and they tell me that they are still awaiting HP to confirm the final price and when the reduction on the Pre 3 can begin.
They expect tomorrow, however I asked if anyone ordering at the RRP €349 now will be refunded if the price subsequently changes in the next 24 hours as expected, and they assured me they would.
After trying the site again to place an order and failing to get anywhere, I rang them back up and I ordered over the phone.
They told me they wouldn't bill me until after the price cut announcement anyway, but at least I would be assured a Pre 3. They expect them to be €50 with €15 shipping, but I will get confirmation ASAP by email.
They do not have any stock of touchpad's and do not expect to get them I was also informed.
Will post update when / if I get my confirmations and of the final 'deal' price.

Serioiusly though. I have the 1st gen palm pre and when i connected it with bluetooth to my touchpad I was able to text, make calls, check VM etc. So if you actually get the modern pairing of the Touchpad + Pre3 for only $175 then thats amazing!
BTW. The stuff HP did with coupling the phone + tablet should embarrass Apple because this kind of stuff we should be enjoying with the iPhone + iPad. So its sad that WebOS never got recognized as a PIONEERING mobile OS. They deserved a better fate...

Over here in the UK we've had crazy day of firesales. Most places went onsale last night (19:00 BST) so by this morning our usual high street suppliers were getting low and empty on stock, PC World, Dixons, Staples, Comet etc.
Managed to get mine though from Insight. Happy days. Should come tomorrow. For the price, its a bargain - flash web tablet. Will be a good laugh and something to play around with. When/If android comes to it,the upgrade will be worthwhile.
Meanwhile - I'll play with the iPad2

I hope it works well for you I saw insight last night. I almost ordered from them then I decided to look at the resellers ratings. as soon as I saw it I passed. what concerned me most that most reviews were either 5 star or 1 star. I feel sorry for the people that paid $500/$600 for one. Remember how upset people were when the original iPhone was discounted after 3 months and they got a $100 store credit from Apple.
HP already credited many of them back. some turned around and bought more on sale. of course retailers that aren't official HP venders might be a problem.
Insight been around as mail order since 1988.. and online since the middle 90s.. they are safe..

I just got a 16GB TP from Grapevine, TX location. They only have 16GB at this location and they are not on the floor. You need to ask them to get to the back to get it. They might be still unloading today's stock from the truck.

Barnes and Noble online still shows my order is processing and my debit card payment is still pending. We'll find out soon enough.
This is clear confirmation that you can sell an awful lot of Touchpads for about $220 less than the cost of the parts. A 10 inch Touchpad is cheaper than a 10 inch digital photoframe. There is no reason to believe that the buyers have any particular interest in webOS.

Now that I got shipping confirmation and tracking numbers, I've been on the hunt for the touchstone and a genuine case. It's like a drug, I have to find those at a deal, retail will not suffice..
