I haven't followed the whole thread but the last few pages seem to be you deriding everything as "spin" while avoiding making any actual responses...

According to you own words, "you haven't followed". Maybe you should start from the top.I haven't followed the whole thread but the last few pages seem to be you deriding everything as "spin" while avoiding making any actual responses...

Maybe you should respond to the thread topic instead of off-topic posts like this.Maybe you should actually respond to some points instead of telling other people what to do...
It does make a difference.Especially when the following are the upgrade featuresYea I don't agree with this at all. Who cares if it looks the same? That makes zero impact on why I like to upgrade my phone every year. And as another member already posted, we know there is a new/better iphone coming out every year, I am not going to just keep holding out forever until something better comes along. Plus, I am looking forward to the new camera enhancements, potential upgraded screens, audio improvements, and new home button. I am sure there are a couple little surprises that we don't know about as well on the hardware side. Should be a nice upgrade, even from my 6s.

Iris scanner

And some more I cant remember. Now which will you buy?
Ming-Chi Kuo's accuracy is always spot on.Count on the iPhone 8 to have all of those and then someAll speculation.
Not what was being discussed, as you claimed you had jumped in from the middle but...OK. Because I'm still rocking a 5.
Your turn.
It's speculation until announced. Until then you and everybody else don't know anything about the internals. Antenna lines are not features. Please stop with that. Sure please carry on.You suggested I respond to the thread topic. I've done that.
By all means continue your mental gymnastics. Everyone is free to draw their own conclusion.

Exactly. I upgrade every release because I look forward to the upgrades that happen regardless if anyone else finds them 'significant' or not. I don't like android, personal preference, so I don't care what they are doing with their phones. I'm not brainwashed by Apple as some suggest. I simply know what I prefer, and I'm blessed to get things I want when I want.Lets be honest here, if you can upgrade your phone every year and thats what you want to do, that is awesome and anybody saying they are waiting for 2017, sweet, more power to you, but there is no point in hating on people doing what they feel like because it makes it sound like you just can't afford the upgrade
well thanks for your opinion.
now where can i email you an invoice for my time ?

The easy answer to the thread question is timing. Those who upgraded to the iPhone 6 will be due an upgrade this month.
Apple have completely missed a trick by putting the iPhone 8 on the 'S' cycle because it will either force people to keep their phone for an extra year, or forfeit the phone completely and upgrade this year. This is the cycle that usually creates the buzz and I can't understand for the life of me why they are not releasing the bigger upgrade this year?
You'll still get plenty upgrading but it's screwed up a lot of people's upgrade cycle. The iPhone 7 looks pretty underwhelming if the rumours are to be believed. I'll either keep my iPhone 6 until it breaks or get the SE.A number of reasons why they didn't...I still think many will upgrade even if the total number will be less than previous years.
I'm more bothered by the dropping of the 3.5" jack than anything else.
None of the iPhones ever feel sufficient or complete.
Ew don't recommend Samsung products. Then buy a Note 7 with 12 processors and be happy oh wait.....

So what you're telling me is the iPhone 8 (or Anniversary Edition as I like to call it) is basically going to be a rehash of the Note 7...It does make a difference.Especially when the following are the upgrade features
