Lol. I've been using Android for years alongside iOS because I have to. I keep iOS for personal and android for business use.
How come? Thought businesses always give people iPhones? That's tough for you if you don't like android lol

I am currently using an iphone 6 and thinking about upgrading to a 7+ in September but im not too excited. I am actually thinking of trying the note 7 for a year till next years iphone comes out. But im afraid of not liking an android once I get it, I haven't had an android since the droid 2 and have had an iphone since the 4s. I'll probably just get the 7 and the 8 when it comes out next year, tmobile's jump makes it a little easier.

Haha so much for blaming your boss then. You can use what you like anyway then ;)
Yes indeed. I just choose Android for business because I don't need all the ecosystem related things that I use on iOS and also I have to be on top of both the platforms for my work.

That makes sense, I suppose you don't want syncing between your personal and business.

Up to you really. You could get the note 7 and try it to see if you like it. If not just return it and get the 7 or wait until next year. Android isn't for everybody just like iPhone isn't for some. Not harm in trying a different device.

Well the ones hanging out on the MR forum sure seem concerned about it not being a "new" form factor.
I'm interested in a new form factor, but simply because I want a smaller footprint in my pocket. I have the 5.5" model right now and it's uncomfortable in my pocket especially when walking up stairs, hiking, or sitting. If the bezels were smaller making the whole footprint a little smaller, it would be more comfortable. I'm switching to the 4.7" model next month for that reason.

(Ideally I would like a 5.1" screen with small bezels, but I recognize that I'm in the minority and won't get that any time soon. But lots of people want a new form factor with smaller bezels, so I'm on board with that.)

My wife is due for an upgrade now the same as me and has shunned the new upcoming iPhone for the Rose gold SE 64GB. She usually loves the latest iPhone releases but has done nothing but whinged about the size of the iPhone 6 for the past 2 years.

Good luck, I tried it a few years back and had the worse experience! The Galaxy S4 was a nightmare and TouchWiz was the worse OS! I was begging to go back to the iPhone!

The Galaxy S4 was years ago. Touchwiz has been improved and is not as prominent on the newer versions so please stop talking about the past and focus on the current ones .

As long as they are putting an OS on top of another OS (ie Touchwiz on top of Andriod) it won't be as good as Apple's IOS. It may be less prominent but still not as good as it should be. Granted Samsung have made a better design and they are got better than they use to be, but there are 2 areas that in my opinion they can't even touch Apple, OS and customer service.

My mate has just bought the SE as he hates bigger phones and the SE was just right. Think sales wise the SE has been the best selling phone in the UK in the last quarter.

Microsoft did this with the Xbox One S. "We're coming out with this device, but the real new Xbox is coming after that."

Well, then why come out with the product at all? Now that we KNOW about the iPhone 8, we're not going to buy this phone WE'RE GONNA WAIT.

If you look at the phone, it looks just like an iPhone 6s. And with what we've been hearing, it pretty much IS an iPhone 6sII.

It's literally the nothing new iPhone. They did this before with the infamous "iPad 3"

And the one s is sold out everywhere. I just bought one and I'm getting the 7 plus (6 today so big upgrade for me). Everyone has their reasons. I didn't have a one before the one s and wanted something for my 4K tv and to play halo and gears this year. I'll trade it in for the Scorpio next year. My contract ends when the 7 releases and I can with my new operator trade it in when the 8 comes.

Anyone else planning to go from the 4.7 display to the bigger for iPhone 7?
I'm actually going the other way, from 5.5" to 4.7".

I'm starting to hear more people finding themselves unhappy with the size they picked. Someone else in this thread bought a 5.5", then went down to a 4.7", and is now going back to a 5.5". Personally I wish they had a 5.1" iPhone and I know it's not going to happen, but I bet there would actually be a lot of demand for it.

No launcher is equal to the real deal. It's not just the look and feel.. It's the services and the experience.
What do you mean look and feel? The latest versions of Android are just as fast as iOS.In fact if you disable the animations on Android you can open an app 2 times over by the time the iPhone has loaded an app switched to the homescreen before launching again
[doublepost=1471887566][/doublepost] I'm sure if you have never used Android before in between then you'll come back running. Make sure you return within 14 days. I'll see you here.

I use both and while iOS apps are better than Android apps hands down when it comes to quality,Android is a lot more fun to use.I swap out launchers day in and day out.Load in custom ROMs,custom lockscreens, icon packs and even fonts. The possibilities are endless. No day is the same.I only recommend the Nexus to those who come from iOS.Pure Android is very easy to use and even the updates policy is the same

I also use Android for the frustarating scenarios when a RAR file has come attached in the mail and its a pain in the rear getting it to open on my iPad.So much for an iPad Pro.Even my Galaxy S2 can open rar files

People shouldn't be deciding on which phone to get based on one phone being faster by 1-2 secs per each task.

To me it speaks volumes, when a phone that has more ram and higher specs than last years iPhone, does worse in a speed test. I agree it's not everything, but there are people who go by specs and will say things like "the Note 7 has better specs" which on paper it does, but in really world tests it can be a different matter.

I've seen a few around and haven't discounted it myself. A few of my wife's friends have gone from the 6 to the SE because it suits pockets better. My wife wears skinny jeans where the pockets are about 4 inches deep and I've lost count the amount of times I heard her iP6 hit the floor lol. I think it was a good move introducing the form factor back. :)

I'm talking about services. That's one of the biggest thing in Apple ecosystem. Integration between devices and services.

I had your sort of lifestyle during my younger days when I had time. Back in the days windows mobile used to be the same and then one day I realised I'm wasting my time behind making an expensive phone to work the way I want or as smooth as I want when it should have done it from the day one.

Now I have way more important things to do, so the whole modding lifestyle doesn't suit me anymore.

I also use Android for the frustarating scenarios when a RAR file has come attached in the mail and its a pain in the rear getting it to open on my iPad.So much for an iPad Pro.Even my Galaxy S2 can open rar files

I've not actually seen anybody caring about RAR files that much in at least the last 6-7 years. But I guess you have your reasoning.
