Why would anyone buy a iPhone 7 (aka 6SII) when we know about iPhone 8?

Short answer is yes. You can say about any two models a year apart. But I think the 7 will have enough new functionality to make it worthwhile.
There's a lot behind those two items that I'm betting Apple will reveal. But I grant you, that's probably all is really known about the iPhone 7 at this point...unless you have an in with TC.
If you couldn't glean that this was a hypothetical statement then I don't know what else I can do for you.
The only time I looked at the bands was when I took my iPhone out of the box before putting it in a case .Removing them is irrelevant for me.No headphone jack will render high end headphones useless.So how is it by an twist of imagination functionally better ?
Word is even the second speaker hole on iPhone 7 does not have a speaker so they removed the jack for nothing.I am serious guys.Is there ANYTHING BRAND NEW on the iPhone 7.It looks to be a rebranded 6s
Appje will include a high-end Dac with high-end earbuds. The same thing was said about the 30 pin to lightning port and now loon.

The rumor is, I don't know how you missed it, us for sound quality. Apple, contrary to YOUR opinion, makes well-thought reasoned moves. Unless you're prescient you still know virtually nothing about the new iPhone.

I'm thinking of waiting for the iPhone 10. Heard rumor it is going to be a game changer. Trouble is when it's released am worried the iPhone 12 will be better. What to do, what to do, seems like I am always waiting.
So basically the only thing that has changed is the audio.BTW I use top of the line headphones by Bose.The improvement if any will be minor for me

Are you saying all the leakers especially KGI are wrong?Because they have assured that those 2 changes are the only changes the new iPhone has.
Yes, that is that I am saying. They don't know anything about the internals of the hardware and how ios 10 might have new killer features that take advantage of new hardware. They have never been able to predict with 100% certainty every new feature of a new iphone.
Predictions?LOL.The entire assembly of the iPhone right down to the home button has been leaked.We even know how the processor looks.Apple might as well release it without an event.Even people in the elevator are telling me the iPhone 7 is not going to be much of a change.
So to you the entirety of the iphone 7 is about the home button. LOL. So tell me prescient one, exactly how fast is the cpu, memory?, ram? features, new sensorts? I'll bet if you try to list them you'll leave about 50% off; because no-one knows.
iPhone 6S Plus does! It's fast and stable and strong enough to survive my back pocket when I was landscaping and water resistant enough to survive me using it with wet hands. I love everything about this IPhone over my IPhone 6 Plus which did feel very insufficient and incomplete. Just the minor tweaks and the upgrade to 2GB RAM wa sufficient to make the 6S Plus feel like the best smart phone I ever owned. Alas, it's just too big for me. So I got the SE, which I adore.
The IPhone 7 is going to be a refinement of an already fabulous IPhone. My problem is that I wanted a device of the size of the Plus to have Apple Pencil functionality. And I still want it compatible with my wired headphones without needing a dongle. It looks like it won't meet either of those two items in my wish list. So I'm going to the Note 7 as my pocket computer and keeping the SE as my pocket friendly daily driver.
But even lacking the pencil functionality, I can't say the IPhones are incompete. They weren't ever positioned to be the kind of pocket computer the Note series is.
I think people like me who tend to buy on the S cycle because we want stability and refinement, will like the IPhone 7. People who felt burned in the past by the new designs Apple brought out, whether it was because of bending or paint chipping or whatever problems plagued the first issue of any iPhone redesign, they are going to go for the IPhone 7 and skip the so-called Anniversary model.
Apple really needs to get back to their design roots with the iPhone series. I look at the iPod Classic, iPhone 4 series, iPad Air 2 (not the Pros), iMac Retina, and MacBook Retina as really svelte machines; really future-forward. The two-tone iPhone 5 was pretty ugly, and the 6 series was so ugly it made the 5 look "iconic" enough to release a special edition of. I'm speaking about purely superficial looks here, but I'm not expecting much from the iPhone 7, and based on all reports, the world isn't either.
We're going with the iPhone 6 look for the 3rd year. I guess they couldn't figure out how to change the design with the bigger screens they have now.
