6s Plus - 128GB Space Grey, built at Foxxon Shenzhen, no issues at all.

You all can say whatever you want about being more OCD etc., but I have seen that issue on other LCDs before and mine just does not have it. I've looked at multiple angles different lighting and it's not there.

With all the talk of demo units having this, I wonder if this is an issue with preproduction/first run models.

Mine was built week 38, so the week before launch.

Why don't you all compare build weeks and factories.

Was thinking on similar lines...I wonder if there is a pattern on factory where it was built. Mine original was a week 38. I have a replacement that should ship today (another issue) although mine had this problem.

I wouldn't go separating the display components. Aside from invalidating your warranty you may end up damaging something. It's one thing taking the cover off to get to the battery but another thing entirely to dismantle the display. Face it, these displays are cheap and they're mass produced. It seems to be a bad batch that we've all got.

4 of 4 that I looked at just now at my local Apple Store had the pressure point issue on the lower left side.

Was that just the Plus model or are the 6S affected too?
It makes me wonder when people say their displays are fine because I haven't seen a 6S+ without the smudge at the lower left side. That's four in the Apple store plus my own. I didn't think to check the 6S.

I'm sure that there are tons of perfectly good 6s+ models out there but the fact that so many stores have defective display models and an alarming number of people won't notice it. Even the employees in the Apple Store didn't seem to care that the many of the display models were defective.

I actually just checked 4 6s+.

Nothing on my 6s Plus, and I examined it closely

White background, screen brightness up etc? Mind you, I can see mine with the screen dimmed. As the rest of my phone is top-notch I really don't want to swap it for a phone with the exact-same smudge on the display plus a whole host of other potential faults...

White background. Check. Screen brightness at max. Check. Nothing to see here. Screen is perfect.

I am kind of OCD, but after looking at all sorts of brightness settings (people recommended around 30% or so) and angles, I don't see anything.
I like the suggestion made earlier that it may be based on build date/factory.

To be honest, it's hard to see and you won't ever notice it unless it's pointed out. I didn't. I can barely see it when dim but it's there. I have to look hard. Plus it seems to go away at times. Not an issue for me.

I don't have the spot during normal use, but if I squeeze my phone across the width (not pressing the screen/back but gripping it tightly) I can create a spot in that exact location

Hmm. Sounds like something is pinching the screen. If anyone can confirm this rubber/adhesive thing for me I would be up for cracking open my phone.
