Does Apple already have replacements in the store? If I wanted to exchange it how would I go about doing that?

Call your store and ask if they have any stock. Then you can either get an exchange unit, or if you're still within 14 days of purchase you can get a full refund and buy a brand new sealed box replacement.

I tried calling the store and got redirected to AppleCare and they told me that nobody is available at stores to take questions over the phone about stock because they aren't staffed for it.

Hmm. You might have to take a trip down then...

Since my post on page 7, I have observed about 3 people who claimed to have no pressure spot problem on their screen. What concerns me is that we have yet to see photos from any of those people.

It's a simple favour, takes 5 seconds and we can all conclude that there are some phones without this pressure problem.

Sure, you don't have to prove to us, but it would greatly help the community out knowing that there are phones that were made right from the original batch.

Well, I bought two 6s + and I had planned to return one. Now I'm thinking I might return the one with the blemish and keep the one I haven't opened yet if it doesn't have the blemish. So, does Apple still have a restocking fee? If I open my 2nd phone and it doesn't have it, can I box this one up and return it without having to pay restocking?

So yeah, I saw the iFixit video and there is adhesive. No way I can undo the screen like they did and no way to get that adhesive back.

Don't know honestly if it will ever get fixed because I doubt on the assembly line they are going to waste too much time per phone squinting at the screen making sure every one of the million phones being produced are "pressure point" free...I mean it is only really obvious on a white background (not sure how they test). Also its up to the inspector to even be able to see it as on here not everyone can pick up such a faint issue. At this point in production they just want to get the volume out to meet demand.

So our word isn't enough?

It would also help if everyone who has the problem to post their build week and factory info via http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html.

Consistent throughout, at severe angels you see some shadow form the bezel along the entire edge.

Mine has a very, very faint spot. Very hard to see.

To the people asking for replacements, if it's possible this is an issue with launch production units, it's hard to say if a replacement now is even worth it.

And yes, I too would like to see a few of the people that say they don't have it snap a picture. It's not that I don't believe them, it's more like I want them to be right and to have a look.

I can't see anything wrong with my screen. Do I missed something here?

Bizarre. My phone is a 128GB 6s Plus week 37 from the same C3 factory.... however when i put my serial into chipmunk it could only display the factory and production week, none of the other details at all.

Can you take a blank white background at 50% brightness? Ensure your camera is pointing straight down to prevent colour shift.

I think I may be one of those 3 people; i looked again at the phones in Grand Central and 5th ave, i stand corrected, they all do have it, its just some are way less noticeable to the point where if you arent looking for it you probably wont notice it. This applies to one of the two pluses I have kept and closer look, it does have it (but very faint). Im returning and sticking with my 6 for now. Really liked the OIS, better battery life, was surprisingly indifferent on the 3D touch so while i do have an urge to buy all things apple, really tough to justify buying 4.7" 6S at this point as it doesnt have the feaures i want most.

Wow, that's the worst one I've seen - look at that huge blob in the middle of the right hand side!
Hahaha. I was sliding my finger up and down trying to get something.

On your IMG_5969, I see it on the left of 02h21min.

That's what I thought. OMG, let's return it.

It seems from the small sample size on these forums that everyone has it in some way, shape, or form as well as demo unit at the Apple stores. The only resolution at this point and time is to either enjoy the phone or return and go back to your old phone if you haven't sold it already. I am not convinced there will be a fix in production now or in the future for the simple fact that many either cannot see or aren't even aware there is an issue or being that it is minor and people are willing to live with it. Without returns in which they document problems, I can't imagine them acknowledging this as an widespread issue let alone changing production. It seems there needs to be a lot of complaints and returns ( ie. bending) before they take action and with the little knowledge people have outside these forums...IMO it won't happen.

I fully agree. I'm literally standing in the Apple Store showing multiple employees a defect in the display model and they just didn't seem to care. They just offered to send my brand new phone within the return period off for service.

Not at all, many of us don't have it. and have posted we don't.
