Some have it worse than others, but all of them have it. I know on the one I have, it's a very distracting dark blotch when scrolling through any site with a white background (so all of them) or the Settings menu. I'm going to return it and wait a few months to see if the hardware will improve.

Neither my 6S Plus nor my wife's have anything like this. Pages/settings with all white show nothing but a nice, uniform display.

Precisely why I'm exchanging for a 6S. I'm going to wait a few months on the Plus to see if things get better.

Plenty of stock here for the 6S, and I can finally get the Band 30 model to boot!

Good luck with the 6s. The display imo is even worse as all of them (inspected over 10 as well) are darker on the top left region. You will see a gradient from dark to light in normal portrait view. This non-uniformity is far more annoying for normal use than the dinky pressure point on the 6s+.

Of course, some fare better than others but they all have some non-uniformity. The 6s+ surprisingly are mostly uniformed.

Hopefully you won't see it :D Ignorance is bliss.

That's why I didn't bother exchanging mine. I was about to until I realized they all have it.

My wife and I must've gotten defective units, then. They're both missing this discoloration that apparently 'all' units have.

After checking with my coworker, apparently he's missing his discoloration blob as well. Darn it all!

I wonder if people seeing these discoloration spots are wearing polarized lenses while looking at the displays, heh.

That's fantastic! :D I wish I don't see the pressure points either. Now go enjoy your phone :)

My fiancé's 6S looks pretty good, so I'm not too worried. Much easier for me to judge the smaller screen. Worse comes to worse I'm still in my exchange window, I could do it right in the store, and returns are always an option too.

I'm also lenient on warmer displays, so long as it isn't piss yellow I'm okay with that. My 5S is really warm and I never even noticed until I compared it a year later.

It's there but you really have to look for it not enough to return or exchange for me. Love this iPhone.

This thread is ridiculous imo. I'm curious if they'll actually replace phones for this non-defect. Report back.
Well if they don't replace then they can just return and repurchase within the 15 day policy or whatever. Point is, people in here are in search of a perfect Apple product which doesn't exist. It is a mass produced item. You can either learn to accept the device and enjoy it or spend your time looking for flaws and running back and forth to the Apple store.

Some few do have a perfect Apple product, as mentioned numerous times on this site, so it does exist, and I intend to find one :)

I think they do all have it , I don't really see it much on white screen , very faint, but if you go to the dead pixel website and try all the colors you can see it ! Pisses me off. Can I return the phone after a few months or will they say I caused the problem ?
Return policy is 14 days, but you can always get it replaced at the Genius Bar for a replacement unit if there is always a problem.

No issue with this on mine. So clearly not "All" 6S plus exhibit this issue.

I believe ya! Could you kindly take a photo of a white screen, straight down so we can reverse our statement that "all" 6s+ have it?

It would also help a lot of people determine if they want to play the lottery game to get the one you have :)

Thanks,
dL

Perfect to one person is different than perfect to another. Depends how OCD the person is. If the phone simply turns on might qualify as a "perfect" phone to someone so this is very subjective. But in any regard, best of luck if you do decide to go that path.

I'm well aware that with LCD, perfection does not exist, however when there's a clear blemish on my screen that inhibits my enjoyment of the device even when I'm not directly looking at it (I can see it in the corner of my eye while scrolling through pages), to me that's not worth the $949 plus the cost of AppleCare. I tried the running back and forth thing with the Air 2 already, it wasn't fun.

I have a very faint mark that I initially thought was an air bubble under the tempered glass protector. Honestly, I'm not too worried about it unless it gets worse.

I'm curious too, it'll be nice to see that not all of them have this problem. I'm still waiting before buying another Plus, though.

I hear ya...been there done that. Hopefully they go OLED next gen. Don't settle if you not happy. Just hope the replacement doesn't have three things wrong with it and find yourself right back in the store....

Yeah. I thought my ocd was bad, but apparently not. People in constant search of perfection must have unfulfilling lives because nothing is perfect.

Same here, I look at my Watch and I'm just disappointed that those screens aren't on the phones and tablets yet, they're fantastic.
