Same issues. I am giving them another chance and calling support this afternoon. I had an inky front piece, non-sticky sides pieces.

I am not going to pile on based on the good rep Wrapsol has but this definitely feels like they rushed this a bit.

So seems like the consensus here is that those who got original got good films and everyone with the Ultras got bad sets? I am getting my Ultra today and will see how it is.

If it does come all messed up, can I get an original sent to me instead?

I got my original front and back installed last night. The matte back skin looks great. Unfortunatly the screen film still has tons of those micro-bubbles under it. I do think they've disipated slightly since last night (I installed it yesterday evening - about 14hrs ago as of this post). I used a lot of the spray though as based on past experiance with these wet films (makes things much easier to install).

Hopefully when I get home from work later today things will looks good.

Got my Ultra yesterday, packing was similar to everyone else. I installed anyway and had about 20+ tiny bubbles, but I decided to wait and see. Today it looks like a totally different film. 100% clear and bubble free. I did spend a good 1/2 hour massaging the pieces to fit exact, especially the sides

this is good for you. I didnt get too much bubbles at first place. I just got a lot of scratches and marks on my film. I ordered two, both of them are like that. It didn't go away after a night. Right now, I am staring at my phone. The more I look at it, the more angry I am getting.

by the way, how is the side cut of your film? mines were not even. I tried to stretch it a little bit, but they look ugly.

Hey, just registered here and am awaiting a Wrapsol Ultra. Read every single page on this thread. Perhaps I will be receiving one of from the "new batch" since I ordered yesterday and am expected to receive it tomorrow (I live in PA).

I will report back - given the guarantee and proven customer service, I'm going to apply it regardless of its condition and will take pictures w/ my dSLR.

I ordered yesterday and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow as well. I'm hoping that mine also is in the "new batch" and the quality control issues have been fixed.

I had a pretty big scuff mark that ended up going away, but I might have been lucky

The sides were pretty uneven and a bit too short. I did spend a lot of time massaging/stretching them to fit.

I will not take the risk. I always put my phone in my packet. Normally, it will get scratches very soon since I have keys and other stuff in my packet too. I will go to bestbuy and buy some film from them after I hear back from wrapsol regarding to the refund. after 12 days waiting, wrapsol urtra really let me down. My wife was laughing at me since I told her that I spend 50 dollars on some 'best' plastic protection for our new iphones. :(

People with the Ultra? Have you been using dry or wet application?

I try the dry method first and my application is horrible. After trying to get rid of the imprint and text I went with wet and running it underwater trying to scrub it out. I apply with it fully wet, wasn't thinking about if it could mess up my phone. It alot better and easy using water, no solution just plain water.

Did all the bubbles/water disappear/evaporate?

It seems like the wet application is a good choice - is there a problem with using TOO much water (other than possibly shorting out your iphone ;))?

It seems like agoat basically washed the thing trying to get rid of the markings and it still stuck on.

No problem using with excess water here, just use the squeeze and push all the water out avoiding pushing it toward the earpiece and home button. After the wet application, only a few bubbles left that could be easily push out. I did this yesterday, now only around 4 small bubbles still left on the front and two in the back. Overall, the I really like the wrapsol ultra. After everything clear up it look as if it not there. The front felt like you touching the glass itself, so it does leave fingerprint.

I'm going to try the wet application when I get home this evening. Did the dry application last night, and there is a bunch of dust underneath. Mine also looks like there may be a couple small scratches, but I'm hoping that they'll go away after reapplying it. Also, using the squeegee did seem to stretch it out. I may ask for a replacement film if doing a wet application doesn't work.

Just installed my original last night. Im so happy I got the original with the matte back. It looks great.

The front looks good, some tiny bubbles here and there but they should evaporate quickly. Only cut issue I saw was right around the hole for the earpiece, it looks like it was slightly miscut...but not bad at all.

I only put the front and back on, dont think I will need the sides...plus i like the feel of the metal.

Overall Im pretty happy with it.

I should be getting the Ultra soon and it seems like the wet install is the best. So I should run the whole skin under water? Both sides? Then shake as much water off and then apply it?

I've never done a wet install on any of my IPhones.

No.

Buy a spray bottle and set it to "mist". Put 1-2 drops of dish soap into the spray bottle, fill with water.

Protip: Something I always do is apply the skin in the bathroom. Run the shower for 5-10 minutes to steam up the room. This will take a lot of dust out of the air.

Lay the phone on the counter-top and clean the surface you are applying the skin to with something like a microfiber cloth.

1. Mist you fingertips and thumbs very well
2. Start peeling the skin off of the paper, peel it half way and mist it. It doesnt need to be dripping.
3. Finish peeling and mist the rest of the skin
4. Place the skin on the phone, lining up the cutouts first. Gently lay the rest of the skin down and verify it is lining up as you set it down. If not, then peeling it back up a couple times shouldnt be a problem.
5. Squeege out all excess water..starting from the middle outward. Avoiding the headphone jack and dock connector.

Got my ultra yesterday and it seems to have some fingerprints and sticky spots that are not coming off. Running it under water will clean that up? Will it also remove the wrap imprint that I see on the front shield? Thanks for any help you can give. :)

I completely agree. I got the original for both myself and my girlfriend. They are so easy to apply and they look amazing. There were some bubbles under the front when I applied them Monday, but they are pretty much all gone now. I really like the look and feel of the matte back, too.

Nope I did this, it does not remove the imprint. You should call up wrapsol don't email cause I never got a reply. They will overnight you a replacement and you get to keep your old one.
