Just to give an update on how my front screen looks - 12 hours later there are no bubbles left. Everything turned out really good actually except the edges and corners - which is partly my fault. When I get my replacement there are a couple of things I would do differently:

1) use a credit card or something smoother instead of the squeegee. The squeegee is too sticky and it ended up stretching the film out.

2) don't focus too much on getting the bubbles out. The harder you try the more you'll end up stretching the film out and the film is going to hang over the edges. Also I literally had tons of bubbles on my film and 95% of them disappeared overnight. I'm just going to trust they'll disappear over time.

Question I had: Can you do a dry install with the original as well?

I have just the front/back films of Wrapsol Ultra (my package didn't have the side films, ordered replacement) on my phone right now and it actually looks pretty damn good even with all the markings on the adhesive. All the bubbles DO disappear after 12-24 hours, that's how this film works.

There is NO orange peel effect. My friend couldn't even tell that I had a film on the phone. The surface is slick. Does pick up fingerprints, but wipes off easily. Gonna have to try the "steamy bathroom" method, as I did get some dust underneath.

I recommend those who are trying to switch to Original, stay with Ultra. They are shipping out a new batch these few days and should have PRECISE excellent cuts that you won't regret putting on your phone.

Did you do a wet or dry install?

There seems to be differing opinions on this. But then, there are some people who have the IS who swear they don't see the orange peel when it's clearly very rough terrain lol. I guess I'll find out for myself tomorrow when I get mine, but even a slight orange peel is a dealbreaker for me.

I think I'm going to request a replacement. I got my Ultra 2 days ago, but it seems like I got one of the better ones in the first batch. The only flaw I can see is that there seems to be a small scratch underneath on the front left. However, there is a significant amount of dust under the front protector. I don't really mind if it was on the back, but having it on the front really hinders the quality of the screen. The application was a pain, and the film stretched when trying to squeegee out the bubbles. I like the feel and thickness of the Ultra, but I'm not sure if I want to request another one just because of the pain in applying it. For anybody who installed the original, is it easier to install without dust lingering than the Ultra? I'm thinking about requesting the original for my replacement.

I have to chime in and agree with some others, my bubbles went away after a day or so. However, I was so concerned with the bubble when I was installing it that I pulled it up a couple of times and I think I introduced some dust. Now I have 3 or 4 little dust particles under the screen protector and for some reason I cant get my eyes to stop focusing on them!
Hopefully Wrapsol will send me a new kit.
Other than the dust, the protectors look great on my iP4.

same issues and kinda glad got to try it out. I will deff make the next one better.

I'm interested in seeing photos when you all receive your new replacements because so far it seems SGP is better. It's just too bad their customer service sucks ass.

Nope, I have not heard from them yet..I have placed my replacement yesterday..I dont know what is going on but I will call them today...

I just called and their costumer support is by far the best I have ever experienced. Looking forward to getting a skin from the new batch!

For any of those who emailed Wrapsol at support@wrapsol.com, did anyone ever get a response back, or the new films shipped out?

Thanks.

I emailed both the support address and the refund address and requested a refund. They responded from the support address and told me to fill out the warranty info to get a replacement sent to me. Argh! I clearly told them I wanted a refund but they chose to ignore that. I'm not happy with them right now - I just want my money back.

Oy vey!

So, I got my Wrapsol Ultra today...natch, side protector pieces were stuck to the screen covers. Some scratches and lettering on the screen cover. That would have been okay, just have them send out a replacement. But they decided to send two front covers instead of a front and a back. So there's no camera/flash cutout for the back cover, giving me blurry pics and green images when flash goes off. Tried to request a refund but replacement seems to be the only option on their website. Top notch operation there, Wrapsol. I just want my dinero back!

Haha I can see why they stopped giving refunds as the cost of production is probably nowhere near the sale price. Hopefully the replacements they send out will be quality. Several people should post photos to redeem this thread and all of the hype.

Hey guys ...

I just called wrapsol. The guy asked my last name and he told me it will ship tonight or tomorrow. I will get it within one day. btw, I live in NJ.

For those who are waiting for email confirmation, it is better to call them and ask about status. for NJ, it has 1 day shipping . He asked me what state.

I dont know about any other states..

they are extremely helpful as well ..guy told me to stretch the film when applying because it is little bit short... I have to check it out how short it is..

hope this helps...

Don't overwork the installation and don't second guess yourself. It will come out better than you think. On the other hand, I can see how my second side came out better than my first. It leads me to think a second go 'round with a new kit for both sides would come out much, much better with that little bit of experience.

This is pretty ridiculous. Just received my wrapsol package from fedex, and it is missing the WRAP! There's the instructions, a towel, the squeegee and a moist towelette (?). But NO WRAP. Of course, it seems as if they're already closed for the day.

And even if they were to overnight one tomorrow, I probably wouldn't get it until next week. NOT impressed.

yellowfrog appreciate the customer support. Mistakes happen but it is how you fix them that makes the difference. Thanks for taking time to get this fixed and take care of customers.

Do we get an email confirmation after going through the online support for a replacement?

LOL at people sucking up to Wrapsol and their "great customer service". The fact that they systematically sent out defective products borders on criminal, or at the very least a great example of corporate arrogance and incompetence. Do people actually think they had no idea that all of these shields were defective, that it is some big surprise to them, that don't look at any of their product after it is created? These gutless people should be refunding everyone who ordered the first batch, not making them call or fill out a warranty claim. And for all the Wrapsol shills on here, how much is yellow frog paying you to post?
