Does this come with a wrapsol for the home button anyone know? Didnt see one in my first set.

IMO the home button covered would be a problem with a wrap. The constant pushing would really wrinkle it up imo. Had a few rubber cases that covered home button and never liked it because took much more effort to push the button.

Got my order today finally. As expected, it wasn't packaged properly. Gotta call for a replacement. :(

Same issues as everyone else.

Received my skins on Saturday but I was away on vacation so I just came back last night. Today I went to install them and noticed that not only were there black spots all over the undersides of the 2 skins from being packaged with the directions, some of the holes that they cut out of the skins (camera, front camera, etc) were stuck to the skins too.

Also, I received NO side strips with this package - just the front and back even though the sides were on the website.

Not happy and just e-mailed Wrapsol Support for a replacement.

just got off the phone with igor (i believe thats how its spelled) and let me tell you, this guy is on top of his game, he runs wrapsol and has a iphone 4 himself, he explained the issues with the first batch and reasons behind them. you know alot of compaines are sweet talkers for PR reasons but after speaking with him for a short while i can tell you that he is pretty serious about his company and his product. hands down the customer service beats the pants off the other companies. he stated there will be a NEW install video going up because of how different the material is for the ultra films, so for all you guys have problems with the bad batches dont give up on wrapsol they are going to make it right for everyone!

i will be posting pictures of my install after i receive it.

Is the look of my front film normal? The picture quality is pretty bad, had to take it on my old 3GS. Sorry it's so obnoxiously large, I'm trying to show as much detail as I can with a crap camera.

Seems like there's too much oddness under the film. Also, I notice it has a ripple effect. Is it possible I beat it up too much reapplying it?

Lastly, any suggestions for the parts around the camera and ear speaker? They don't seem to be staying down.

Took another one. Maybe a better angle.

How long after install was this? I would give it a day or so and I'm pretty sure those spots will disappear.

The real biggest issue I had with the Ultra was dust. I didn't try the steam in bathroom method, but I will next time since I ordered replacements for the messed up sides.

When I was installing the front, it kept collecting dust. I tried using the scotch tape method to remove the dust but the ultra adhesive was much stronger than the scotch tape. I also tried washing it off but that didnt work either. Hopefully my next install will go better in a dust free room.

Got my order in today. The side pieces were basically melded to the back protector. The front had some sort of imprint like it was also previously stuck to another protector. Just did the warranty claim and hope I get a much better product. Right now, I'm regretting my purchase and probably should of just stuck with SGP. Oh well, here's hoping that Wrapsol has gotten their stuff together now.

This was mere minutes, but I'm not concerned with the spots. It's the streaking and ripple effect on the film. I think the film is messed up from all the squeegeeing.

Just installed my Wrapsol original and I will wait a couple days to judge the front...but I'm a bit disappointed in the way that the back fits. It does not fit edge to edge like I had expected. It leaves some blank space on most of the edges.

My Ultra Install

So I received my replacements today, and here are the results after a couple of hours. On the front there seems to be some vertical lines hopefully these will heal after a day, the back has some orange peel, also on the lower left there is a line??? It looks like it's curling up but believe me its stuck to the back, don't know if its an internal scratch or from being folded over the edge during the install. Anyways I will be installing a bumper so hopefully it will be covered.

Not to be a hater but can someone please explain why the wrapsol seems so popular. Similar cut to the Zagg (a terrible one) and these install looks look pretty poor. BSE seems the way to go? Simple, cleaner cut and priced much better. Or am I missing something? Cheers

Not sure the reason. Before I really got one, all I heard about Wrapsol were good words. I preordered it right after I preordered my wife's phone. I got one of my ultra replacement on my phone, it looks much better than the first one since it doesnt have that much scratches and marks on it. The cut is still not very good. As somebody else mentioned, it doesnt cover the phone edge by edge.

On the side pieces seems the bottom piece with the connector is not cut right. I am using my old bottom part from the old parts.

A couple of HOURS to put a skin on! MAN, you must be kidding me. this is the second post that I read where it seems to take hours. I mean it looks good but you have to be seriously obsessive to put that kind of time into this product.

DO you all think this is really worth it?

So, tell me is the feel of the skin better than a ZAGG?

This thread seems to have been just a whole lot of HYPE. They do seem to have considerably good customer service however but then again looking at how horrific the original films they sent out were, I'd expect nothing less.

Just received my Ultra today and it doesn't look too scratched up. However, the cut on these are horrible. If I align up the front film with the earpiece and home button, the film is overlaps the edges. They weren't cut vertically straight, mine seem to be cut at an angle. Back piece the same way, the opposite corners overlap the edges because they weren't cut straight. The only nice thing I saw was the box they shipped it in. Noticed others are saying the cut still isn't good on the replacements even though they're better than the orginals but I'm not going to chance it so I'll just going to ask for a refund.

I think you mean Ultra films, for which they took the time and effort to register on MR and issue an apology and explanation among all the other measures they took.
Personally my original has been perfect, and even though I had high expectations for the matte back, they were far surpassed. I've tried all the other brands and I've found Wrapsol the best IMHO.

I understand how frustrating some people may have found their buying experience but if you can hold on because I think it'll be worth it. Just my two cents..

IMHO the zag I installed on my 3GS had major orange peel and felt real rubbery especially when gliding your fingers across the screen. Needless to say I immediately took it off. I don't have these issues with wrapsol aside from the back having some orange peel.

An apology doesn't mean **** if you are sending out films that look like they were cut/prepped by sugar-driven pre-schoolers. LOL. I'm not saying the second batch being sent out now is bad, but this type of mentality that you can send garbage, as long as your CS reps are friendly and personable --then it suddenly becomes acceptable, is a joke. Like I said, HYPE. I did see where a couple of people applied the new batch of film and it doesn't look bad at all, but in my opinion it doesn't live up to the HYPE this thread initially surrounded itself on.

He didn't say it took a couple of hours to put them on - he said that the pictures were taken a couple of hours after he installed the shields.

As far as I know this is a one-off incident so it's unfair of you to generalize your statement.
At the end of the day, you're free to come to your own conclusions but I'm honestly trying to help you by giving you my humble advice, as I think that they offer the best of this sort of protection.
