If Wrapsol was smart they would have prepared better and anticipated the orders coming in when the iPhone 4 was released.

Instead of waiting, they just sent out defective products.

Not so smart.

and that thinking somehow makes up for people attempting to "scam" a free cover?

You all a being a tad harsh on a company who is completely intending on making up for the mistake. It'd be a whole different story if they did not recognize their error and said "sorry, your loss". Give them a break...they have a track record for making a great product, mistakes happen and now they are correcting that.

Lots of people at this point are going to try to scam Wrapsol for the smallest issues in trying to get there money back. I hope Wrapsol is smart and not just giving everyone there money back. I rather keep my warranty and switch my films out if they can't hold up like normal.

By scam do you mean try to get a refund for an item that looks like it was constructed by a 5 year old? Haha, besides it seems most people are open to replacements anyway.

I installed my original wrapsol screen protector yesterday. After I installed the front I noticed that there was a deep scratch going vertically down the screen, so I ordered a replacement today. Hopefully the next one is perfect

gotta stop bashing wrapsol they are a great company, my 3gs skin was perfect and my macbook skin is perfect, the iphone 4 they screwed up on but they are fixing it no doubt about that.

Are you just talking out of your ass? Do you think they intentionally sent out 1000's of bad packages so they can ruin their name? This is simply a packaging problem. Like Yellow Frog said above, they had some of these sets that got places front to front, not front to back and they stuck to eachother. If they all would have been front to back, this wouldnt have happened. Some others are complaining of text imprints from the instructions. Again, packaging issue. The actual product wasnt the problem.

If you ordered it, you kind of see how these mistakes can happen. It is very hard to tell front from back without paying attention to the orientation of the camera holes. Until you get some feedback 2-3 days after first shipment (when the first customer starts getting them) you dont know of the mistakes. How many do you think they sent out in the first 2-3 days before anyone started complaining?

I agree with this. People are piling on a company that's making things right for every complaining customer. They clearly blew it on the product packaging but the Ultra is much nicer than the other skins I've used. I like it enough to give them a second chance.

Have you used the SGP Steinhal EX films?

That's where I'm going if this isn't rectified.

A few install tips.

Watch the video on website . Especially for the sides. Need to stretch it a bit. Not a problem actually allows you to get it just right.

Even with ultra. Install in bathroom with hot shower running. Steam knocks dust down (you may not think there is dust in air but there is). The steam also allows you to slide things around a bit kind of like a wet install which is helpful.

You will have bubbles. Don't try and force them out. Not worth it because you may scuff it. They will disappear in time.

Use credit card to smooth instead of rubber mallet that comes in box. Easier to handle and will not scuff

Finally go watch the video again before installing and use extreme patience

Here's some pics of the Wrapsol Ultra fully installed. This is from the new batch.

Not fully cured and dried yet. I did a wet install. The clarity is really good.

my second set was not even close to this. After about 30 hours, there are still bubbles on it. But I did dry install. I dont want to make the phone wet. that's the whole reason why I paid 5 more dollars for ultra.

I still have a few tiny microscopic bubbles that need to work themselves out. I did a wet install and the pics are from about 4-5 hours after I put them on.

Try a steamy bathroom.

I know you guys mean well, but steamy bathrooms and sensitive electronics?

Is that really safe?

Think I'll try my negative ion generator.

Yeah, steam and wet installation could trip the water sensor in the headphone jack. Resulting in void warranty. Maybe cover them and light wet installation.

To the untrained, squeamish, or 1st timer it can be a daunting task. However, as long as you follow a few rules like wiping excess water off quickly, using little water to begin with, spraying the skin and NOT the device, and being patient and thorough, the results speak for themselves.

Then again a wet useless device also speaks for itself. It really is a delicate balance.

I have wet installed skins on my mbp, and my iPad. Ive done it for years and never had a device fail on me. You get good at it.

Those sensors are not that sensitive in my experience. Not talking so much steam that phone gets super wet. Probably less than if you did a wet install.

Agreed. Just don't use excess water. The above are some great tips.
