I know exactly what you are talking about. On my Ultra with just the front and back, the bumper headphone jack is sort of ovalish. Plus the volume buttons don't seem to be pressing hard against the actual buttons on the phone causing them to rattle.

hmm, with my Ultra with just the front/back installed, the bumper fits perfectly. The jack is round, the buttons work perfectly with solid click, and no rattles.

I installed the Original after pulling the Ultra off. The original is a lot nicer in that it feels more glass like and more clear BUT….. i have a gazillion micro crystalized bubbles under the film that will not go away after an entire week. At first it appeared to be the solution that I sprayed the film with to install. I let it go but it still looks like garbage. The matte back looks great but it could have a lot of flaws as I would not know if it did.
i have installed probably 25 different types of films on phone, Gps's, iPods, camera's and laptops and never ever have had these issues. I think I am going to request my money back.

I don't see how you're going to make a case that the bubbles were the skins fault - sounds like user error to me. I have the Originals on as well (launch day Originals) and no bubbles whatsoever.

They are not bubbles. More like crystalized mist.
No user error hear as I know what I am doing.

My package came yesterday, and it was terrible. It's also the same as what the others posted, it seems the front film and back film got stuck to each other inside the packaging, hence producing scratches and unavoidable dust were in it before I can even put it on my iPhone.

Still, since they said after 24hrs the film will go 100% clear, I tried to apply the film and to my dismay, the outcome is horrendous. First batch of shipment was a real disaster, I had to remove the film right away since it doesn't look right on my iPhone. I guess a refund will be my option now. (are the second batch of films really worth it?)

You trust my opinion right, Rayfire?

It's worth it. I love Wrapsol. I know people are having bad experiences, but just get a replacement one. Even if you don't like the replacement, you can still get a refund. ;)

Look at the pics above on this page.

Well I just had the chance to apply the replacement film that they sent, and it is absolutely completely better than the first batch.

Like others said, they did place some tissue and the cuts on the film are a lot better. I also noticed they also labeled the packaging now (before there was none) and my package went with QC (I had an initial of MA) at the back. It was also sent overnight which was really great of them knowing they were trying to correct their mistakes from before.

Just applied it today and boy I'm really surprised. The back and front film really looks great, no more weird lines nor dirt on the film. Only got a few bubbles which I knew will disappear given more time. I asked yellow frog about the sides since mine was cut a little bit weird but he explained it well enough so I might try to apply it again. Overall, I'm one satisfied customer. This company has delivered great customer service, only a few companies do that now. Highly recommended and kudos guys!

PS: thanks again loren for the recommendation ;)

I tried requesting a warranty replacement through their site today, but after hitting the submit button on the page where you enter your address, I kept getting the following error:

" Error: Request to fedex web service failed: [868]Service is not allowed. "

Not sure what that means, I'm guessing a FedEx problem, but I could never continue, so I just used the support form on their site instead. Hopefully they will help me get a replacement. I have several streaks on the front and back skin (Ultra) that take so much away from the phone's awesome display.

I still like Wrapsol. I had the matte skin for my 3GS and thought it was great. I think once I get a near flawless skin for my 4G it'll also be great.

Just to followup, Wrapsol sent me a replacement the next day, had it within a couple of days. The skins were separated and in better condition than my first set. I have applied them and after a few days of curing it looks great. I think that's the key, being patient for all of the bubbles to evaporate and streaks and whatnot to smooth out. In a couple of days it will start to look better, imo.

All in all, I really like having it on there and feel it provides some protection. It alone might not survive a big fall, but it will prevent it from getting dinged up.

Anyways, I'll vouch for Wrapsol.

This is the same problem that I have (I described it in earlier posts as "grainy fog"), I have a replacement coming because my original was missing one of the side pieces, but I sure hope the front is better on the next one or I am also going to ask for my money back.

I really like the back and the feel of the front, but the front just looks like crap, I can also still see the imprint from the instructions, so I hope that it is better.

For those who have bought the wrapsol, does it remedy the 'grip of death' problem? Also, why do some people still put bumpers or cases on? just for looks? I thought the wrapsol was meant to provide protection for scratches + drops.

and lastly, this may seem liek a stupid question to some people, but has anyone who installed the Ultra on their i4 actually 'dropped' their phone, inadvertently or otherwise? How did it fair?

Thanks

This is what my front looks like, it has been like 5 days, and I know that it just looks like this thing is dirty, but it is not, this is all under/within the skin. My replacement should be here tomorrow, and if it is not better I will be getting a refund.

Well it has been 5+ days, how do I get the moisture out? Or what do I need to do different with the replacement film, I have installed a bunch of these wet films, and I have never had this problem...

I talked to yellow frog, he says that it looks that way because I did not use enough of the solution, so be warned it will look like this if you try to use less liquid to protect your device.

I have my replacement coming today (mine was not important enough to overnight like others) I will install it today with the reccomended amour of liquid and I hope it is flawless, if it is I will be praising wrapsol and their service :)

I applied the original front piece without any water and mine looked a lot like your (with some larger bubbles) picture for eight days. Now, there are no more bubbles. They do go away on their own eventually.

I don't think that is the issue at since I used a lot of solution. The solution was running all over the place as I pushed it out from underneath the film.

SO I just took a closer look at my Wrapsol and the front and back were stuck together and one of the sides was completely peeled off and stuck on the front screen. Should I even bother installing this or send it back for a refund?

So I tried to get the "hairs" off. They aren't hairs at all and if they are they are IN the skin. I put it in a bowl with water and a drop of dishwashing detergent and tried to rub it off but it wouldn't. My skin was in the first batch of replacements and some of those were bad judging from the posts on here. I've seen some people with 3 or 4 replacements til they get a good one. I just installed it now because I was out of town all last week. I'm going to ask for a replacement and go the original route. The originals I've seen on here look great and I think the thinner back would help with the flash issue.

I have the same issue. The back and sides look great, but the front is terrible. A bunch of those little bubble-like things. I'm not sure if it's something I did wrong. :(

Just ordered mine today. Having it overnighted so it should be here tommorow by 3pm. I pray it is in new condition. I really liked the original wrapsol on my 3GS but opted for the ultra for my iPhone4 because I like the shiny glass look on the back.

THEY SENT ME THE WRONG REPLACEMENT!!! I am so sick of this, they sent my original order with a missing side and imprints on the front, and then my order was not important enough to overnight like the others, and now I got an ULTRA replacement instead of the original that I ordered and got in the first place... this is dumb.

I just want my money back, but I don't want to pay for return shipping of both freaking products, what are my options?!

I want to be happy with this company, there customer service has been good, not amazingly great in my case like some others but it really has been good, I just want a film that looks and feels great! And I really want wrapsol, all of the reviews that I have read and everything say that they are the best, but I just want them to get it right. I really love the back film, it is so nice, and doesn't show fingerprints or grease marks at all, LOVE it! So if I can get a good ORIGINAL wrapsol I will be very happy, but I don't want to wait another week for it again.

Well I got my replacement today.

While it is better than the first one (which was full of scratches straight out of the box) I could immediately see small hairs or fibers on the sticky film side as soon as I pulled it out of the box and I hadn't even taken the backing off of it yet....

Those scratches on your first one were from the protective backing..

The crap on the second one is likely the same exact thing...take the backing off.

I experienced the same thing. And it's not user error. I'm also experienced in installing films. I think I'll ask for a refund too. I'm not happy with the outcome.
