Those scratches on your first one were from the protective backing..

The crap on the second one is likely the same exact thing...take the backing off.
No and the text / ink transfer from the instructions were not on the protective backing.

The tear in the front film was also real and the overall poor quality cut, fit and finish of the first set of Wrapsol Ultra that I received were in a word JUNK.

The second set, while a true improvement are still not up to the quaility that was indicated or advertised. The scratches are not only on the backing but also on the front film. The new sides are a real improvement over the first wave but again that poor packaging make one of my two sets of side films stick to the front film and appears to have ruined it.

I will give them one more chance and then it is just time to move on to another product.

I got my replacement a couple days ago and it was packaged a lot better. I didn't have huge scratches or instructions print stuck on film. After putting it on, right away it looked a lot better. I of course had a lot of bubbles but after 4 days they were all gone and I have to say I'm pretty happy with it. After getting my first shipment I admit I was pretty irritated but they have very good customer service and my replacement looks so much better it's like night and day. I hope some more people end up with the same results that I have had.

I don't get it.

Yellow frog said that it looks like a lot of moisture underneath, but then yellow frog says Bootsie didn't use enough solution. Which is the cause of the problem?

I too have that same problem with the original film; there's A LOT of microbubbles all over the front skin, and I too have never had this problem using the wet installation technique with these types of films.

First attempt left 90% of the front screen covered with microbubbles.

Second attempt, I squeegeed WHILE placing on the film, which did help a lot at removing most of the microbubbles (about 30% is still covered).

Third attempt, I squeegeed while placing the film again, and microbubbles appeared at the SAME exact spots as the second attempt. These bubbles are still present after two days.

Note that these attempts were all done on my third replacement film since my first two were damaged on arrival.

I'm going to try and be hopeful that all these microbubbles will go away over the next few days. Otherwise I'll be on my fourth replacement.

I called this morning, and they were very nice, they are sending me another replacement, I will follow yellow frog's suggestions and report back about how it turns out, I really hope that it turns out well. I have seen pictures and read reviews of them being perfect, so hopefully mine is too! :)

I'm not stupid. I installed the first one just to make sure it could still be seen once installed. And it was on the actual film. I peeled back the backing on this second set and there is small fibers in several spots on the front film piece. I then tried to get it off with water...no go.

Man these posts got me really scared. I'm expecting mine today in the mail, sure hope I get lucky. Kinda feels like I'm gambling lol. I knew I could've just gone the tried and true way with the og wrapsol but I dropped my iPhone 4 with a zagg on it and it got thrashed so I'm looking for something with a thick skin. I bought a brand new iPhone its just waiting here in the plastic til my wrapsol gets here. If it is defective like many are reporting I'll just switch it out for the tried and true original, just wish they were available in retail somewhere so I wouldnt have to pay this overnight shipping and wait. I hate ordering things online and waiting.

Wrapsol...Please get these things into actual Physical Stores PLEASE!!!!

I've had no issues with the Ultra. Did a dry install and the shield went on crystal clear. From a distance, you can't even tell I have a shield on. But I guess this is a hit or miss since others haven't gotten a new condition shield.

Same with me. Did the dry install. Went on flawlessly. Had a coupe bubbles but now about 3 hours later most have already disappeared. Great product!

So then it can't be the heat, I'm guessing. Must be something in the production process.

Hopefully they are getting it under control. I have another replacement supposedly shipping today. Someone from Wrapsol is supposed to be taking care of it.

I guess we'll see.

My new one is much better! I hope yours is as well.

Wow after about 6 hours, all the bubbles are completely gone and the shield is amazing. There really looks like there is nothing on the phone. I'm completely satisfied.

Neither film works well with the bumper. They both keep peeling up at the bumpers edge. Almost like big bubbles. I am CONSTANTLY using my fingernail to lift the bumpers edge and pressing the film back down. Almost as if the adhesive is not strong enough.

I went through the steps on their website to get a replacement and the reaction was fast as it got shipped out today, but it was disappointing to see my case was not important for overnight shipping like some have reported getting here. I'm in Arizona and Wrapsol in MA, so I'm looking at 7 days until delivery according to FedEx. 7 days of looking at a damaged screen protector covering a majority of my iPhone screen with its damaged hazed effect. Yeah Wrapsol!

I think any film will peel by the bumper. The rubber edges act like a squegee, so as the bumper floats it will peel any film. Perhaps a very thin film would be fine, but then that film would not offer much protection. I like the thickness of the Ultra and the protection it gives. One could always go with the otterbox brick.

FINALLY!

Yes, it took 4 damn replacements but I FINALLY have a front skin that I expected. 2/3 replacements had good sides but bad front skins, this one finally had a good front skin but was missing sides. See the attached picture. They didn't include the part that covers the mic near the headphone jack, as well as the part between the volume buttons. If this were my first skin, I'd be pretty annoyed.

EDIT - Upon further inspection, they changed the cut of the sides but they didn't update the instructions.

But doesn't matter... I finally, finally, finally have a front skin. that didn't have issues.

It was checked by JR or JK.. can't recall. They signed it.

I got my replacement with the new cut-outs today.

Weird, my first order placed a few days ago didn't have them for some reason. I called to get a second set but they told me they don't offer second sets like Invisible Shield etc.

Oh well, I guess I will do a replacement once they scratch etc.

FINALLY!

Most people have had good luck calling and getting it overnighted. You might try it! :) I live in AZ too.

I had the same problem with my first Ultra and now with my replacement Original; the Wrapsol has been on over a week now and, after a hour of having the phone in my pocket with the bumper and the Wrapsol on, I can see bubble "strips" right where the bumper meets the film.

There's also a slight orange peel effect and it attracts fingerprints like mad. This is dissappointing b/c I like the minimalistic look and feel of the wrapsol/bumper combo, but I expect more if I'm going to shell out $30 for a few pieces of plastic.

I just emailed refund@wrapsol.com and asked for a refund. I ordered two sets of films a couple of weeks ago and both had the stuck together problem and had streaks that wouldn't come off. They sent me one replacement, even though I asked for two replacements, which I received Monday and it was screwed up as well. There were two pieces of flimsy film in-between the films but they didn't cover the films all the way so the tops were stuck together leaving a streak at the top. I also noticed small hairs/fibers that I originally thought were part of the backing but once I removed the backing they were still there. I'm very disappointed in their product. Personally I will be waiting for the PowerSupport films which I've never had a problem with.

Do you like the new cutouts? I don't. I liked them better when they changed it the first (of the many) times.

This most recent change is just three long strips. I'm guessing it is to say they alleviate the "grip issue" but I still don't like it as much.

Got off the phone with Wrapsol.

Spoke to the owner. He is very rude and is making claims of comments I've never said. He said I sent him a threatening email when I was very polite in my email and clearly stated that I was frustrated with how things were going.

I cannot recommend there products nor will I use them. They are garbage.

They placed an order on MY credit card WITHOUT my consent for the WRONG item.

What a garbage company. I'm throwing what they sent me into the garbage.

Man, what a hassle! I am glad it turned out well :)

The cut on the sides was changed in mine also...very confusing at first.

Glad I requested for a refund after the first shipment. Don't think I would've been happy with this product. Congrats to those who made out okay.

I ordered an original, however they sent me the ultra. I just contacted them via email, I hope they send me the right one this time...and maybe I can keep the ultra?

Review

Well it's been a little bit now that I have installed my second screen(Ultra). Even with the flaws it has when I received it (fibers on the sticky side of the film, along with other dust particles before I even pulled the backing off....) it looks and feels pretty good. It really feels like it would do a solid job of protecting my phone.

Pros:
-Looks to provide great protection
-Latest films seem to be cut pretty nicely for a great fit
-Nice clarity, the PQ still looks incredible
-Great customer service thus far
-Skins have a GREAT natural healing ability

Cons:
-Pain in the butt to do the dry install IMO
-Quality control for fibers and dust under the front screen straight out of the package in my experience has been pretty poor
-Side pieces require you to stretch them to fit properly and it ends up looks slightly off...especially at the bottom with the skinny parts of the film
-Fingerprint magnet...Not full fingerprints but the oils don't wipe off easily like a bare screen. In fact the oils are pretty hard to wipe away...
-Micro bubbles seems to be a proplem with a lot of people. I have some along my edges that just won't go away...
-There is a Orange peel effect (although nowhere near as bad as the Zagg Invisible Shield skins).

Here is a quick video showing the Wrapsol film on my iPhone. Not the best video but it does the job.

Bottom Line: This appears to be a very nice skin as long as the quality control gets a bit better. I honestly don't worry about my phone now that I have the Wrapsol skin on it. It just feels very "safe". Drop protection safe like its advertised? lol hmmm no (well maybe like a 2ft drop...). Is this the best skin out there? Probably not, but who am I to say as this is so far the only skin I have tried out for iPhone 4 thus far. I have ordered a couple of films from SPG to compare. Specifically I ordered a SPG Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic front protector and I also ordered the SPG EX Ultra Crystal (full body). They should be arriving in a few days, and i'm eager to compare as these protectors look to be very good.

I got my third replacement film today. This time I used plenty of solution to install it, and so far the install does look better, but the front has a couple of good size scratches on it, I hope that they "self heal".

I also noticed that the included squeegee creates a lot of scratches...to my suprise they actually went away...
