I feel as if this game is going slowly.

Well GG have lives too
Also part of it is to try to accomodate people from different time zones, to make it more fair to you and SS (the only ones not in north america currently playing, i think)
In general the ~24/12 hours day/ night cycles most commonly use allow for a decent compromize between pace, discussion, balance and "activities"

Yea, partly I think with that many players and roles it's better/more fair to have longer cycles at the beginning, even if it's a bit slow. On the other hand I have a problematic work shedule now all of a sudden plus some serious personal crap to deal with. Also parents in law are visiting this week-end so yup, life's a bitch and then you die. ;)

I should have much more time at hand come next week-end so if the game is still going, I'll be able to prepare more narratives at once and speed it up a bit. :)

WoodNUFC
is dead and was a loyal villager of Wolfsmouth.

It is now Night Three. Happy lynching!

Next deadline is Monday 10:00 AM EST.

:D :D

Who the heck is Horacio???
I think this is Twietee referring to my laptop's demise. LOL. Like the narrative Twietee.

@DP this is much harder to keep up with reading on a phone - understand why you missed the vote being a change first night now. Also apologies for not being around so much atm. Hopefully will get a new laptop next week. The problems of working in the US for a UK company. Everyone had gone home in the UK by the time my laptop died so probably won't be until Monday that I get authorization for repair / replace.

Catching up on the thread.

Well, a number of creatures could have answered to the name of Horatio…..

Firstly, Horatio was the person addressed by the Prince of Denmark as he mused on the Meaning of Life (and Death) while holding the skull of Yorick. Secondly, it is entirely probable that Horatio is also the secret name of the deceased computer belonging to FenrisMoonlight…….

And, WoodNUFC. An interesting choice for a surreptitious nocturnal murder.

My take is this
Since he claims he is not the soother himself, nor he is part of NW or morphing pair, the most likely way he would be a villager is if
- a villager-soother decided that he was important to save or was so strongly convinced koodauw was bad to be worth the use of soothing. Not very likely
- a ww-soother used their one shot to somehow make intell look bad. Very unlikely imo
- soothing was used on a vote before it was switched to intell, and intell was saved by chance. This would make rick look bad

On the other hand, it could be the other wws trying to save thrir buddy.

At this point i am inclined to believe the latter (ww)

This would be a good time for the soother to come out with their perspecti e
So if I'm following everything correctly. Intell should have been lynched but he wasn't due to some vote rigging (either by the Soother or the Bluff) - we don't know which. This was the case whether Koodauw's last second save vote counted or not - so its likely that someone moved to save Intell prior to that.

So, if the Soother used their power - it would be best for them to come out and say so, so we know what happened and why they thought it was important to save Intell/kill Koodauw. There's no real downside to this.

WoodNUFC was murdered during the night. We can be pretty sure he wasn't the Soother as he could have simply switched his vote to have the same affect. 1 possibility he was would have been if he was sure Koodauw was a wolf and didn't want to give the wolves a chance to save their friend. Unlikely given Koodauw wasn't a wolf and WoodNUFC would have had no way of knowing what Koodauw was if he was Soother.

If the Soother doesn't come out - because we don't have one (either never did or has died) or (s)he didn't use their power then the most likely option is the bluff was used. In this case if the Oracle is still around (s)he should use the question on 1/2 the voters for Intell to try to reduce the suspect pool. The Seer should probably also start targeting those people - hopefully scanned one of them last night - anything to help us get a wolf.

My laptop had a secret name and I never knew?! :( I always called her Avalon.

Bravo. Touché.

(Cue the sound of appreciative applause - where are those damned emoticons when you want them? Such as, an emoticon which would resemble applause…..)
LOL!

Since I'm unlikely to be around as much to post updates this night, I've updated my signature with links to all 3 nights voting. Night 3 gets updated every 5 minutes.

Yes, I think that time can develop a strange elasticity at the week-end…it seems to go on forever until the frenzy of the deadline.

Re frenzied deadlines, do, please bear in mind that - while we do not know any of this for certain - concerning the small matter of time and its elasticity, it be
with noting that either and/or the collapsing or extending powers may well be in play. This doesn't mean that they are - I can't say and I don't know - just that they might be.

You may recall that they were used to significant effect last time around

Sorry I kinda forgot about that.

I really doubt an Oracle was ever in the game.

Placeholder on Queen of Spades. She's not as active as she usually is.

@Don't panic ...it was you and Plutonius last game?

I may be off more or less tomorrow... I'll check in but it won't be as often. Today it was yard work, Sunday I'll be watching the Canadian GP. Don't take it the wrong way, now. :p

Meanwhile i was carving. broomsticks and wands for my daughter upcoming harrypotter- themed b-day

I didn't want to start a bandwagon for pluto, that's one reason i didn't vote for intell first
However before changing i woul like to hear from more people

I think we can safely assume the oracle and the necromancer are not in the current village roster.

Also maybe it is time for the soother to show up so we can clear intell position a bit

Well, I, too, have assumed that the Oracle is not with us, and may never have been assigned to any of us.

And why do you assume that the Necromancer is not in play? Just because individuals have been killed - or lynched - or murdered - is not, in itself a justification for resurrection.

Resurrection - as it is a once-off power - would tend to be expected to be invoked when an individual of known, or proven, high worth, (either for his/her powers, or his/her personal abilities) may be called upon to return to the fray.

Re Plutonius, I am curious as to why you think he may be worthy of suspicion. Likewise, I'll confess that I retain some curiosity re Intell's escape from almost certain death, and would like to hear what thoughts people have on this issue.
