i'm going to guess at least 3000 dollars.

Some blog is guessing 2500, it would be cheap at that price... And apple is not known for that (i also agree with one of them when apple puts out something they think is top of the line, they will price it pretty hefty for that).

20 bucks? Apple... is that you? (I'm not complaining, I'm just... surprised!)

how long is this keynote going to last? spent 45 minutes on Macbook updates... 22 minutes and counting on ML (which was already semi-introduced months ago). How much time will they be leaving for iOS 6? That is the huge part that everyone was looking forward to...

Also seems to be leaving out any possibility of showing off a new ATV SDK... unless this keynote goes for 2 hours.

One price upgrades all your Macs and all the way back to Snow Leopard.

Early impression: New MacBook Pro = Awesome, Mountain Lion = Extremely disappointing still. But at least it's rather cheap

Oh gee, Siri knows more about sports...

That's huge enough to mention and even go into detail on... I really hope Siri isn't the only thing they are going to go into...

And they're still talking about it.

Oh, and it knows football (american). Apple showing it's US bias.

well it is a US company....

Alright! Now finally something that would seriously improve Siri... being able to launch apps!

Caues the one thing I would find Siri being useful for is my Navigon app (That would be very useful while driving. Less need to mess with the iphone.. or change from navigon to my speed trap app and be able to go back to navigon).

I want to run over Siri with a tractor . . .

I don't know if you're American or not, but you live in America, so stop griping about it knowing about football (I refuse to call it American Football...it's football here).

What a shocker that a room full of tech geeks is less than enthused about Siri knowing more about sports. Shocker! As for the rest of the country, I think that alone will get more people using it. Bar room arguments are solved in an instant!

This just about clinches it. If the non-retina 15" MBP does NOT have a 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 option, I'm getting a 17" MBP MD311LL/A while I can.

1680x1050 is close, but not good enough. The retina MBP is just 1440x900 actual real estate, and apps have to be updated for retina otherwise they'll look like crap. No thanks. Maybe in a generation or two I'll jump, or when Apple lowers RAM prices.

Disappointing. Especially if the RAM is soldered in the retina MBP. This may be my final Mac for a while. I hate that the 17" is now gone.

At this point, I hope I don't know what I'm talking about and my opinions are wrong. I hope I'm misunderstanding something.

Couldn't agree more. The stock market seems to think along the same lines. Very disappointing.
