Hi!
I was wondering if it was possible to access the stored passwords in safari from a directory? Like on windows, there is an encrypted file with all the password google chrome has stored. I think it is: AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\login data.
Anyway, can you do something like...
So I signed in to Chrome on my Mac and set it as my default browser (since Safari on Sierra takes literally ten seconds to even begin loading a page, and Firefox doesn't support Google Sheets). Now Safari and my iPhone have had everything I've ever bookmarked in Chrome dumped into their...
I understand Chrome on Mac runs not as good as Safari does, I do understand, but even youtube runs badly doesn't make sense at all.
The Safari on Mac (Im now on macOS Sierra) runs everything smoothly, including youtube pages. The chrome, on the other hand, is not that perfect, but still way...
iOS 10.1.1
iPhone 6s+
Ever since the first public release of iOS 10, Safari has been slow for me, and worse: if I switch tabs or switch apps momentarily, Safari goes all white and is apparently frozen or dead. Only swiping it away in the app switcher, and relaunching, will fix it. And it's a...
Is there a way I can BLOCK websites on Safari? There are unwanted websites that keep "Cookie-ing" me.......and I want to BLOCK that unwanted audience.
PS: This is not about Parental Controls. I am an adult that just wants to BLOCK unwanted websites.
Thank you!
So when i go into Safari>preferences>privacy and then manage website data, i go to remove all the data and it just comes right back.
How do I get all of this gone?
I have "allow from current website only" enabled.
Confused as to why these cookies keep coming back seconds after I clear everything.
Installed Sierra last weekend and since then I have been unable to open Safari. The program opens and it immediately crashes and brings up the "unexpectedly shut down" window. This happens every time. I have already re-installed Sierra thinking it was an OS issue but no change. Anyone have any...
Since one of the most recent OS X updates, Safari has taken to 'auto-launching' each time I reboot my iMac. I've checked my startup preferences and it's not listed. One one of my other iMacs (I have 3 generations that I use for different purposes), the same thing is happening with Spotify...
I am having an issue with Safari on macOS Sierra on my MacBook Air 2015. When I quit Safari, it deletes all my open tabs and sites. On my other computer (running El Capitan) it re opens the sites again when I re launch Safari. Is this a new Sierra feature that can be turned on/off?

'Autoplay' is used increasingly on websites streaming videos. I come across it on News pages: BBC, New York Times and others and it's become an irritant having to switch it off each time you want to view a single item. I can't find a user control to stop it globally in Safari. Is there...
Does anyone know of an app or extension for google chrome on the iMac that is able to sync my open tabs with iCloud and thus be available in safari on my iPhone?
I would just use the chrome browser on iOS but I really don't like it and it doesn't have force touch support.
Any and all help is...
Lately, I've been receiving the prompt, "Do you want to trust the website '[URL of website]' to use the 'Adobe Flash Player' plug-in" prompt from Safari for sites that don't appear to require it (e.g., MacRumors, PayPal).
Whether I click "trust" or "not now" seems to make no difference in the...
I use the Safari Reading List frequently, on both iOS and macOS. When I save a link to Reading List in Safari in macOS, it saves with no issues, and the links also show up in iOS Safari as well. However when I save a link to Safari Reading List in iOS, it only saves to that iOS Reading List...
This one I am excited for, as it works pretty well. The same guy who brought us TSclientX worked on making PianoBar work under PowerPC. Huge thanks to Daniel!!

Hi there
My father uses the voiceover on his MacBook Pro which was running OS X El Capitan but as of today is now running MacOS Sierra.
When he visits some pages, such as Amazon or Wikipedia, and goes through the headings, he will encounter the voiceover every so often saying Safari Busy. At...
This is just a quick little tip. Enjoy!
There are two ways to get "picture in picture" mode on all old versions of macOS and Safari.
Method #1: Drag these bookmarklets to your bookmarks bar and just click the one you want, to open the current webpage's video (HTML5 or YouTube videos only) in...
