No. "Sticking with Android" is different from "sticking with Apple". On Android one has way more choices in both hardware and software. One can find a satisfactory solution without dropping Android.

Wrong. If you brought a $200 phone and needed a new $200 phone you're way more likely to be an Android owner. Your choice is limited by price.

If you brought an $800 Apple phone than your choice is both Android and Apple.

That's my point. There are way more people with cheap phones who will stay cheap, stay Android and therefore stay 'loyal'.

There's still a high amount of users who own flagship Android phones. Don't forget the cheap iPhone SE and older devices which are the most sold in the Apple world and not the newest, also not every Apple user pays in advance so...

The funny part is people actually think IOS is an amazing piece of software. When in reality.. it use to be.

It's amazing as an iPod OS but terrible as a modern computer replacement OS. In terms of being closer to a computer replacement...

Linux/Windows/MacOS > ChromeOS/Android > iOS

It provides better, you probably haven't used a cheap Android phone have you? They are of a much better value than any phone nowadays especially the Squares on a Wallpaper phone. Just because it has an Apple on the back doesn't mean it's good.

I have used a cheap Android. It was a miserable experience. Cheap Samsung.

Beyond pathetic and laughable. From having to remove the battery to reboot it after it froze to regular loss of LTE and going down to 3G to 1X. Pathetic.

Good point. People tend to stick with what they know and are used to. I think it's a lot of the reason why Android buyers continue buying Android, and likewise iPhone buyers continue buying iPhones.

Never gonna let go of my Samsung fridge. I put my Android in it. It’s my Samsung cover. Keeps it cool.

All this proves is that Android users are cheapskates.... they go through phones like water, because they don't last or they cannot get Android upgrades..

I was an iPhone user for years until my last contract upgrade and I decided to go with the Galaxy S8. Best phone I have ever used.
The Galaxy S8 Superior Display, Superior Camera, No Lag and Longer Battery Life between charges.

I am a satisfied Mac user but I have the ability to see past the hypnotical Apple Logo.

I know you don’t understand facts VS opinion and don’t understand data, but given Apple captures over 50% of the revenue on device sales, it is silly to think flagship Android devices represent anywhere near the number of sales of flagship iOS devices.

A loyalty poll is one thing, though it doesn't reveal the the underlying reason. I'd like to see an "enthusiasm poll". iOS vs Android. I think the lines on the graph would look a lot different... with iOS users not exactly being thrilled.

I use iOS because that's what I started on and I'm too lazy to switch to fiddle around with a new OS. That's not really loyalty and it certainly isn't enthusiasm. I'm definitely not enthusiastic about iOS at all.
But in its defense, ios works for the most part for me and I accept it's limitations for what they are.

I'd say that Apple iOS has the MOST loyal clients on the planet. No in the entire Solar System....

That they still have ANY clients at all after what they put they clients through with iOS 11 speaks fathoms about loyalty 😀

Well seeing as that not everyone experienced those problems (myself included) it makes sense.

Not even close. The cheapest iPhone is the SE at $349. The cheapest Android phones are in the $50 range. And they sell a gazillion of these. That’s why Android ASP is so low.

I don't understand how the rate of people switching to a new OS when they get a new phone is a different rate than people switching to a new type of phone when the get a new phone. To me it seems to be the same thing.

Did you bite your tongue when you typed that out? Iphones can be had through payments(as you are well aware of), so no the choices are not as limited as you make them out to be.

I guess coming from someone who purchased their Iphone X outright, I should be calling you cheap as well....
