Chances exist that you wil get a completely new iPhone instead of just new part
Wrong. This program specifies that the single component, which is the rear camera, will be replaced. The phone will not be replaced, only the part inside the phone.
The FaceTime camera on my 5S is foggy. Can I get a replacement for that?
That is completely separate from this recall. If your phone is under warranty, it may be eligible for replacement, but if it has been in contact with liquid (the most common cause of this symptom) then no, it isn't eligible for replacement.
I have the 6 plus eligible. Should I get a new one?
It takes more than a serial number to be eligible, it has to also match the symptoms described. if it does, then you should have it repaired. If it doesn't take blurry photos, then it isn't actually eligible for repair.
My iPhone 6 Plus is eligible.
Only if it produces blurry photos. The serial number alone does not make it eligible.
i "think" mine is okay but maybe i'm just so used to it that i don't notice the blur (unless it's obvious).
anyone on here have pictures to show how blurry it actually gets?
i guess i'll go in and get it repaired since it's free.
It will only be repaired if it actually is defective, the serial number alone does not mean it is eligible.
I'm going to take it in, hopefully they mess it up beyond repair and have to give me a new phone.
It will only be eligible if it actually is defective. The serial number alone is not enough to qualify, it must be unable to produce clear photos.
checking even though i have no problems because I don't know...
If you have no problems, your phone is not eligible. The serial number alone isn't enough to qualify, it must produce blurry photos.
Mine is eligible, but it's working fine.
If it's working fine, it isn't eligible. The serial number alone does not qualify it for replacement, it must actually be defective.
I suspect pretty much anyone who bought an iPhone 6 Plus between these months is eligible. It's always a "small number affected," because the number of units sold between September 2014 and January 2015 IS small compared to the rest of the year - as a percentage. Let me go check my phone...
Yep, eligible to be fixed. No surprise. I suspect this "small number" is many, MANY millions of iPhone 6 Plus units.
Wrong, the camera must actually be defective to be eligible. Simply having a qualified serial number is not enough, the camera must actually be defective.
Would you please for once actually specify and make it obvious to your readers that the cameras must actually be defective, and the serial number alone is not enough to have your device repaired.
