Why not go metric? We could make some nice round numbers with millimeters. 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, ...I'm waiting for the 11.67" myself.

And yet Tim Cook stated he views the iPad Pro will ultimately replace your PC. So Vice versa then.
The problem with the argument of a macOs iPad is that the architecture is different. So the apps you currently have on macOS wont run on the iPad because the iPad uses the arm infrastructure.Guys,
accept it. Eventually the iPad will replace the macbook.
That has started with the iPad Pro. I predict 2018 there might only be 1 macbook. No air, not a normal one 1 but just 1 MBP. And then 4 ipad models and 2 of them will have full MacOS on them.
That's why they have also changed the name. OSX sounds to "heavy" to run on an iPad. MacOS is much better for this.
You heard it here first..;-)

Yes you could introduce a compatibility layer between the hardware and the macOS software but you than run into performance issues and that would also affect battery life.
That would solve things in the long run. But would you really buy a MacBook that can't run photoshop, final cut or Adobe software in the short term? There also an additional problem, that is you would no longer be able to run Windows on a MacBook without a vm.Think of a "pro" version of IOS. MacOS as we know it now will be gone by then. Perhaps the MacBook by then will have an Arm processor..And voila problem solved

We have a winner.iPad Pro 10.5 will replace the 9.7 pro.
It will have trimmed bezels to keep the physical size in check. Same will happen for the new 12.9 inch iPad Pro 2.
They will release an updated 9.7 inch regular/" budget" iPad , called the iPad SE.
iPad mini will be dropped in 2017 because of the release of an even bigger 5.8 inch(or even bigger) iPhone pro in 2017 with new design and oled , with almost no bezels.
Anyway, that is my guess...
DCIFRTHS states that he will be using a Windows computer if Tim Cook phases out desktop / laptop computers.
Yep, some guy said it, so it's definitely true.Ohh….. so the Mini is history? Makes me a sad panda. Sad panda emoji goes here.
Especially when it's clearly stated in the article that this is a third party prediction. It isn't a leak.Yep, some guy said it, so it's definitely true.
They already have an OLED tablet/hybrid.And next year Samsung will release a high end OLED tablet just to say they did it first.
And yet they cannot make a 17" rMBP.
The iPad pro is a fine concept, that is severely overpriced for what it is.....an iPad Air 3

we need at least 6 sizes...... and more variations of gold...
They already have. 2018 is when Apple will bring one out? So still 3 years behind then. And next year Samsung will release a high end OLED tablet just to say they did it first.
A "revolutionary" device, in parts due to an AMOLED-display?
Samsung has been putting organic screens into their Galaxy S-smartphones for more than 6 years now. Worked brilliant, especially in regards to battery usage. Not so nice in terms of color accuracy - but we're talking about a tiny smartphone screen here, not a calibrated sRGB/Adobe RGB display for professional photo editing...
TL;DR: The pro's of having a OLED display on a portable device outweight the con's.
