Must be something good...

With this being the 3rd Press Conference in about 6 weeks and the second in 2, this had better be something interesting.

dual core PMs
updated PBs
These don't seem to be worthy of a press conference considering the chips are moving to Intel in 6-12 months.
There has to be something more.

LOL. I see Apple's plan. They are trying to drive everyone on the rumor sites insane. :D
Actually ... they are probably succeeding. ;)

This is good news. I would like to get a Powerbook (and money to :() Just can't decide if I should wait for Intel's or get the supposedly last PowerPC Powerbook since almost all the bugs will be worked out of them as opposed to a Rev. A Intel.

Good nonetheless :)

Why not?

Media Event.... iPod Nanos and iPod Videos.

Mac Event.....iMacs, Power Macs, PowerBooks.

Still wondering why the iMac wasn't launched at Apple Expo.
Probably wasn't quite ready at that time.

ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait, I am ready to give all my money to Apple. Just bring super fast dual core Powermacs! Please!!!!!

I wonder if we are going to see updates on the Cinema Display line. I would like a larger than 30" monitor. That would be awesome!

A price drop on that bad boy would be great. ;)

Let's start guessing:

12" PB - 1.67 GHz MPC7447a + DL Superdrive, the rest remains the same
15" PB - 1.8 GHz MPC7448 + HR display + DDR2 + ATI X700 64MB ...
17" PB - 2.0 GHz MPC7448 + HR display + DDR2 + NVidia Go 6400 128MB ...

Wishful thinking? :)

Great news that they finally get an update.

What happened to Tuesdays?

Better question: What happened to MWSF - WWDC - AE
as the core "events" to launch hardware? I think the answer is Intel. If you look at the rate and speed Intel and AMD push out new chips I think you have your answer. Now that doesn't mean every time Intel speed bumps their chips Apple is going to have an event but with the depth and width of Intel's chip line it gives Apple a TON of breathing room to release new and different hardware. Ultra thin iBook anyone? Apple's moving into the "zone" where they are preping everyone for spur of the moment "events" It looks as if the day of the MWSF as a major venue for new hardware may be over. Or at the very least its no longer a sure bet anymore.

Very wishful. The 12-inch won't be updated at all :(
