Another obscure but important feature for some: USB Ethernet support is now "official" in iOS and has an interface in settings. (It won't appear unless you have a lightning to USB adapter with a compatible USB to Ethernet adapter plugged in). It's been a working part of iOS for a while, but you were never able to view the device, set a static IP address, etc like you can with wifi.

When you come from a beta is better to restore from iCloud or as a new device?

Thanks for your help

I wasn't getting my .mac/.me/.iCloud email pushed with 10.0.3. I wonder if it's a server issue or an iOS issue. Maybe it's been fixed with 10.1? It's been happening for about two-ish weeks now.

Did you ever stop and think maybe the fact that the Portrait Mode requires two cameras shooting simultaneously might be the reason?

Don't bother, some people don't follow the news and tech world.

It may be intended behavior.
Open a few apps. Then double click the home button to open the mulitasking window. On an iPhone 7 I see the current app window move down slightly and then back up as all the windows are on the same level.

You can purposely make it more dramatic by pressing home once, and then delaying your second click.

It's not an intended behavior, its a technical limitation. That hiccup is a transition from animation #1(first click/app minimize) to animation #2(second click/task switcher laying out cards). While quick double clicking, between these two animations, you just have a gap of few milliseconds. In that milliseconds time span, there is no way to create a smooth transition, other than delaying the start of animation #1 to recognize the second click and skip animation #1. This can be done over accessibility settings, by setting the home button click to slow. Well they could tweak the timing of the default setting, but I think this would be by far more disturbing.

Ok, updating now, I know, I didn't learn my lesson when 10 first came out and I tried to upgrade my 6s+. Anyway, first apple Logo has popped up. Anyway, what I don't get, is why are people so lazy to read what is in the update. Half the posts here are asking if a bug was fixed, music star rating fixed, etc. Why don't you read the release notes, it tells you everything. Why should anyone have to repost it, when it's on your phone and even in the OP. Anyway, done ranting about the lazy people. But for those who were too lazy not to read the OP, here is the list again, my guess, is you will still be too lazy to read everything

Camera and Photos
- Introduces Portrait Camera for iPhone 7 Plus that creates a depth effect that keeps your subject sharp while creating a beautifully blurred background (beta)
- People names in the Photos app are saved in iCloud backups
- Improved the display of wide color gamut photos in the grid views of the Photos app
- Fixes an issue where opening the Camera app would show a blurred or flashing screen for some users
- Fixes an issue that caused Photos to quit for some users when turning on iCloud Photo Library

Maps
- Transit support for every major train, subway, ferry, and national bus line, as well as local bus systems for Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya
- Sign-based transit navigation including layouts of all underground structures and walkways that connect large transit stations
- Transit fare comparison when viewing alternative transit routes

Messages
- New option to replay bubble and full screen effects
- Messages effects can play with Reduce Motion enabled
- Fixes an issue that could lead to contact names appearing incorrectly in Messages
- Addresses an issue where Messages could open to a white screen
- Addresses an issue that could prevent the report junk option from displaying with unknown senders
- Fixes an issue where videos captured and sent in the Messages app could be missing audio

Apple Watch
- Adds distance and average pace to workout summaries in the Activity app for outdoor wheelchair run pace and outdoor wheelchair walk pace
- Fixes issues that may have prevented Music playlists from syncing to Apple Watch
- Addresses an issue that was preventing invitations and data to appear in Activity Sharing
- Fixes an issue that was allowing Activity Sharing to update over cellular when manually disabled
- Resolves an issue that was causing some third-party apps to crash when inputting text

Other improvements and fixes
- Improves Bluetooth connectivity with 3rd party accessories
- Improves AirPlay Mirroring performance when waking a device from sleep
- Fixes an issue where playback would not work for iTunes purchased content when the "Show iTunes Purchases" setting is turned off
- Fixes an issue where certain selfie apps and face filters used with the FaceTime HD camera on iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus did not display a live preview
- Fixes an issue in Health where individual strokes are converted to separate characters when using the Chinese handwriting keyboard
- Improves performance of sharing websites from Safari to Messages
- Fixes an issue in Safari that caused web previews in tab view to not display correctly
- Fixes an issue that caused certain Mail messages to be reformatted with very small text
- Fixes an issue that caused some HTML email to be formatted incorrectly
- Fixes an issue that in some cases caused the search field to disappear in Mail
- Fixes an issue that could prevent Today View Widgets from updating when launched
- Fixes an issue where Weather widget sometimes failed to load data
- Fixes an issue on iPhone 7 where Home Button click settings would not appear in search results
- Fixes an issue that prevented spam alert extensions from blocking calls
- Resolves an issue that could prevent alarm sounds from going off
- Fixes an issue where audio playback via Bluetooth would cause the Taptic engine to stop providing feedback for some users
- Resolves an issue preventing some users from restoring from iCloud Backup

One is not mentioned : Facebook username or ID number on IPhones Contact app does not link with Facebook app since iOS 10. Now, it opens up in Safari, which is annoying.

that actually worked!
though some double clicks are a hit and miss
thanks!

You're welcome, its a workaround to make the new speedy non-moving iP7 home button slow as the iP6 home button.
With the older physical moving home button of 6 or 6s devices, users simply couldn't double click fast like with an iPhone7. Thats the reason why it doesn't happen on a <iP7 device.

so true, making it as slow as the previous gen
though what baffles me, is that the limitation is not constant. it happens at non periodical intervals

I read from betas that the home button was supposed to react faster when you press it on iPhone 7. Seems the same slowness to me. Anyone else?

I think this is because you're switching apps very fast, could be because of busy resources during the sleep, freeze, waking up and resuming of the app. If you let the App rest on screen for few secs, you won't get that "hit & miss" behavior. Btw. happens with "Default", too. It's definitely a busy resources thing.

This is a little off topic of this thread but does anyone on here have a 2016 Honda Civic or Accord with CarPlay and if so, how is it?

Except for the rare screen glitch requiring either unplugging and replugging the cable or in the worst case turning the car off and on it works well on my 2016 Accord. Worked on my 6s Plus under iOS 9 and still does with my 7 Plus under iOS 10.

Been broken for me for a few weeks as well on both iPhone and iPad.

How am I now just hearing about this capability??? I just installed Hiya and it looks like I finally have a way to block those annoying robocalls! (yes, I'm already on the donotcall.gov list)

But does it fix the issue where phones will randomly go to the black screen and the spinning icon, seemingly rebooting itself and bringing you to the passcode screen as if rebooted?

It's much easier to create the window hop when double clicking the home button when Safari is the current application versus News being the current application.
- I see. I haven't noticed a consistent difference between apps. But the "hop" and error in background blur varies in intensity.

It's like the phone is doing the exiting from an app animation before it realises you're really trying to enter multitasking.

If they are now gonna warn about this:

They also should warn before buying not optimized apps....just saying...to be fair with the customer, even remove them from the store.

This feels very un-apple like to me. The user of iOS shouldn't have to worry about things like this, especially when they can't do anything about it, other than not use these perhaps purchased apps.

Well these are older apps. If you saw my earlier reply to this message I referenced an article from 1/2015 whereby Apple asks developers to update their apps. Also they did not allow any new ones be approved. So this falls back to the developers to get their apps updated for new OS not really Apple. Any older apps that were not updated to work correctly with a new iOS is on the developers unfortunately and the consumer is caught in the middle.
