Same here; iTunes is simply perfect for me...will update anyway.

Windows and Android fanboys; by the way, am hearing an AWESOME progressive metal album by Fates Warning (Parallels) - you should give it a try as a fellow metal head. ;)

Parallels is an excellent disc. As a die-hard Fate's fan it doesn't touch Perfect Symmetry or their masterpiece, No Exit.

Ray Adler is awesome as a new voice after John Arch left [love the old stuff], but I think we can agree that even with A Pleasant Shade of Gray trying to make up for Inside Out, it was losing Frank Aresti to techno that just killed it for many die-hard fans.

Nice to see another Fates Warning fan. Having them in college during their No Exit and later days only added to those college days.

Has anyone else been having movies that are streamed to ATv's stutter? For instance, the beginning of the movie voice and picture will be in sync, then all of a sudden the picture jumps and then is out of sync with the sound. It only started to happen with the 9.2 update...

I just can't understand why Apple removed the MUTE option when right-clicking in the Dock. I hate that I have to manually turn down iTunes when I want to watch a Youtube video. This option has been gone since 3 updates ago. What's up with that? For that I rated this a negative.

I never noticed that! That is a little bit annoying....
Saying that, I just use the keyboard mute button.

You mean this one:

Jay Leno was in an 80's punk band?

How is it people would vote negative for a software upgrade which fixes known issues?

Apple could give out money for nothing, and people would complain it wasn't in sequential serial numbers.

Apple could give out money for nothing in sequential bills, and people would complain Apple was trying to track their spending habits.

If you have some space left in the Menu Bar, maybe you can give a iTunes Controller, like for example GimmeSomeTune a shot. I find it is really convenient :)

Uhm… Some hickups with iTunes for the first time!

iTunes 9.2.1 (on MBP 3.1, OS X 10.6.4) wouldn't recognize my iPhone 3G w. iOS 4.0.1. I plugged it on and off several times and waited 5 minutes or so. Nada. I could not quit iTunes regulary—only via Activity Monitor with a forced shutdown.

After a new start of MBP iTunes showed my iPhone but it still didn't find any app updates (there should have been some app updates because iPhone shows them). When I clicked on "Search for updates" it did… nothing.

Okay. It needed 15 minutes (!) and then 40 updates showed up.

I have 2,150 apps on my MBP maybe it's that. But it worked before that iTunes update with some errors when updating more than 40 apps—I had to do it manually. The 40 updates are downloading automatically now.

Downloading a free app with iTunes. Works fine.

Sync with iPhone: Works fine. And seemingly faster than before.

Hopefully this will get rid of those stupid "free song of the week"'s, because in 5 years, I've found ONE artist there that was listen-to-able.

Hopefully this will get rid of people who want to say "I'm better than you" but don't have the guts.

In all sincerity, iTunes is now much, much snappier!

In what respects? I honestly felt that iTunes 9.2 already had achieved pretty much optimal snappiness (with obvious exceptions being device-synching and video).

(This is on a Macbook Core Duo 2Ghz w/SSD btw.)

Hey - Owl City Fireflies was one of those songs. I got it for free and I liked it before I heard it 10,000 more times on the radio!

iTunes 9.2.1 seemed to fix my issue with getting artwork. When I used to add a new song to iTunes the artwork wouldn't show up in the window until after I restarted the program. Now it shows up the first time.
