I'll be at work! With IE 8 so it's gonna be hard..... Websites aren't that compatible lol.

However, I hope the new iPad is awesome enough for me to upgrade from my iPad 2.

Not one for one of their biggest incomes, but one for this? I hope it's something big. :D
*Fingers crossed*

I can't imagine how much bandwidth would be required to stream the iPhone presentation. Do you know how many people would watch it? It would be similar to when they released iOS 7 and it caused networks to go down due to all the downloads. I think that is the main reason they don't stream the iPhone events. Even the popular iPhone discussion sites (such as this one) sometimes get a little overloaded during the iPhone events.

got an iphone with you? I'm pretty sure you could just watch it on that if you have one.

Save it for the really big events.

iPad Mini,
iPad 5,
Macbook Pro's,
Mac Mini,
Mac Pro,
Mavericks,
Apple TV.

Versus an event for an "S" model and unashamedly plastic iPhone this one is huge.
I wonder how many of those will actually be updated today. I'd be a tad surprised if they were all announced during the Event.

There's also the possibility of updates to iLife and iWork as well. And who knows what else Apple will announce.

The day finally came!
And also, the year to replace my MBP with either a Mac Pro or another MBP. Decisions, decisions!
And who knows, if I'm not broke after ordering my new Mac, maybe an iPad 5 to complete the team.
Ok, stop dreaming already! But it's always good to dream, as it helps setup new goals.

Heck! I'll be happy with just being able to watch the event live! :D
And maybe I'll buy something...

This is pretty nice. Granted while I am gonna watch it, I will most likely not be completely focused on it. I am mostly interested on the release date for 10.9.

Last year I meant to purchase a new iMac, so I did follow the livestream properly. This year I am not interested in buying anything new. So I will just watch whatever that grabs my attention while using my computer.

This is what the town hall looks like:

When I was at university, we had lecture halls smaller than that - they had 3 ceiling mounted cameras pointing at the stage, with a remote edit suite. There's no real reason why Apple can't do the same. Blaming it on the auditorium size is a bit silly of them.

I thought that myself, and why is it easier to broadcast at a venue that Apple doesn't own rather than one where they could permanently install all the equipment necessary to deliver such a live broadcast? It's not like it's 'expensive' for Apple to build a dedicated server room with the rest of the equipment needed at Town Hall.

I wonder why they do it for some events but not all?

I wonder if there are SEC regulations about when "general investors" get news about the company so they can trade on stocks? In previous events they discuss a lot of sales information which would definately effect stock prices.

I predict we will see new products in 5-6 fruity, leafy colors!

Although I don't expect it, I really hope they will bring out an updated Mac Mini with at least Iris Pro graphics. :)
For the love of all that is holy I also hope Jony Ive hasn't made it thinner.

I certainly hope they make it available to people with other devices instead of the 10 people who own an Apple TV.

Chill! You can also watch it on a Mac or any iOS device with iOS 4.2 or later.

I'm not sure where you live, but around here, there's an Apple TV in almost every home I have been into, either of friends, acquaintances or clients.

Maybe you need to l expand your search.

I've never had an issue with Mountain Lion on my rMBP, the issue surrounds the display with image retention and yellow gradients.

I eventually got a refund on mine and really hope they have sorted out the display issues, I'd find it very surprising if they haven't.

Sorry, should have been more specific. This is relating to the lag issues encountered under first Lion and then, to a lesser degree, under Mountain Lion. This affects everyone with those machines, though of course some are more sensitive to it than others, and is software based. Latest builds of webkit reportedly offer a big improvement and the word from those using the betas of Mavericks is that performance is noticeably better.

I understood what you meant, just wasn't really noticing it on my rMBP, I had more concerns over the display itself...image retention, yellow gradient issues.

Having said that if Mavericks offers even better performance...I'm certainly not going to sniff at it ;)

Just heard work will be buying us an iPad each, not that's timing. (Here's hoping they don't rush out the door and buy an iPad 4 today. While I don't want to seem ungrateful..............)
