Did you get some kind of prompt to update the firmware? I have followed all the instructions, nothing. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting via BT, nothing. Tried rebooting my iPhone Xr (iOS 15.0.1), reconnecting via BT, nothing.

The headphones are in the case, the case is opened and plugged into a wall charger.

I made sure that software updates are all enabled on the iPhone and have tried waiting in both the Settings->General->About->Powerbeats Pro screen, as well as the BT info screen for the Powerbeats Pro.

It just sits at:

Model: A2048
Firmware: 3A283
Hardware: 1.0.0

Not sure what else to try.
No prompt, I couldn’t update on iOS 15.0.1 I used another device on older firmware and updated instantly once paired.

Updated mine, only running 15.0.1 but the FindMy integration seems the same as before the firmware update? Weird but perhaps you have to be on 15.1 to get the FindMy?

Anyone seeing this activated on 15.0.1 for AirPods Pro? Mine shows on but also shows unsupported.

I plugged in my 12PM phone and APP into a wall charger, let the lid open and had them sitting next to each other for about 15 minutes. The APP updated and then the case second. Just give it some time and it will happen.

Really strange. Sat there waiting for over 40 minutes (even disabled my iPhone going to sleep) and nothing. Now I'm trying it with my iPad, but that is on iOS 15.0 (haven't updated it to 15.0.1 yet) and still nothing. It's just sitting there. Powerbeats Pro are connected via BT and nothing is happening.

At the end of the day, they work fine so I guess it's not that big of a deal, but what a pain the ass Apple has made updating the firmware. Why not just do it through Software Update like everything else?

Update: I reset my APPs and re-paired them with my iPhone that prompted the FindMy integration to activate properly. Suggest anyone else having issues should do the same (follow the full reset procedure on Apple's website).

Try resetting them according to Apple's instructions and see if that triggers the firmware update - it did for my wife.

Neither my Pros nor my Powerbeat Pros will update. They won't update until Apple feels like they should and it pisses me off how stubborn Apple is in refusing to allow on demand updates, like people have been asking for years.

I agree its less than ideal, but I am sure there are good reasons why they don't have on demand firmware download - given there is limited beta testing of firmware perhaps this is how they control how quickly it deploys to everyone and if there are issues that weren't caught at testing it won't affect as many people? (I don't know, just hypothesising)

But yes, in an ideal world on demand firmware downloading would be great.
