I red somewhere that there should be a way to label workouts somehow, but I haven't figured out how.
You can find it at the end of an "Other" workout. You now have 3 buttons instead of 2 (Save & Delete). The new button is called "Rename" and with that you can change the type of the other workout. There's plenty of new possiblities there, but they are of course all tracked the same.

Read in this thread somewhere yesterday, someone had asked whether a digital watch face can show seconds yet.

Yes it can! :)

That doesn't work while in the Workout app, even if you enable the Screenshot feature. I think it's a bug.

Mmm.. I think I misunderstood you somewhere.. You wrote in #1146: "You can press the side button and the crown to pause the workout."

I was asking if you mean you have to press both the button and the crown together (like screenshot in watchOS 2), to pause the workout? :) Or can you press just one of the buttons to pause it?

If I can find someone that can can update my AW to 3.0 will it work with my iphone which is not on iOS 10.0?

I'm pleased to announce that if you start an outdoor run and outdoor walk, the Watch, together with the iPhone maps your route that you took! You can see this route after you save the workout and view it on the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. I wanted this feature for so long! The route seems to be color coded too with red/yellowish regions on your route, kinda like traffic zones, but I'm not sure what those colors mean.

Oh! Sorry, I misunderstood you, I thought you were asking why the screenshot doesn't work.

Yes, you have to press both the side button and the crown together to pause a workout, just like how you would take a screenshot in watchOS 2.

3 simple requests - Allow the Nike Plus app to run indoors without iPhone, ability to sync podcast playlists locally on watch and allow watch to change audio output.

Does it work for outdoor cycling as well? Can't believe Apple didn't announce that feature...Any screenshots floating around?

Only if you take your phone with you though?

This is great! Definitely a feature I've been hoping for for a while now too. I've used some third party apps in the past that would do it but having it built into the workouts is awesome. Do you have any idea if it works with other workouts like cycling outdoors? I did a cycling workout yesterday with watchOS 3 but I don't see a map anywhere. Wondering if I just need to allow it somehow. If not, hope it comes to that as well.

One small 'hidden thing' is that you can use the Digital Crown to scroll through the items in the Dock. So it's much faster to navigate than Glances was.

Surprised in the keynote they highlighted the ability to swipe along the bottom of the dock (the small dots) to quickly go through apps, rather than highlighting the crown's ability to do this. Could this signal an eventual end to the Digital Crown? What do you guys think?

Does the Work out app let you save runs, bike rides to a route? So if you run the same route (e.g. run thru the park) you can compare stats when you run/bike the same route (e.g personal best times, etc.)?

If you tap the route does it become bigger to show more details? Also, has any new Achievement been added?

I don't think so as they're giving devs access to do more things with the crown.

It works for all outdoor activities I think. One requirement is that you have to carry your iPhone.

I can't seem to make the map bigger though, it shows a thumbnail but I can't seem to be able to tap it to open it. Hopefully that's just for this beta and they will add the ability to do so in future betas.

Yes, you have to press both the side button and the crown together to pause a workout, just like how you would take a screenshot in watchOS 2.

Did a run earlier today and it doesn't show a route in the workout summary on my phone...will check it next time I go.

Now, when you say "Hey Siri, start a timer", the timer is displayed counting down in the Siri overlay, rather than opening the Timer app. If you want to view the countdown, you can open the timer app. If you say "Hey Siri, what is the timer at?", it will display the timer but unfortunately pause it too.

What if you ask, "Hey Siri, how much time is left?"

Can someone please tell me what the HIIT option goves you in the exercise app? Does the watch tap yiu when you need to shift gears and start running faster or slower for example? Or does it simply record?

This is just naming the workout. I'm not sure if it takes the name of the workout into account when it calculates calories burned though.

So you just renamed the Other Workout yes ? Which means there is no actual HIIT type of training (where you can set intervals etc) ?

It does! You just have to double tap the screen while doing the workout to tell it the lap and then it gives you the distance and time for the lap. They call it "segment"

Awesome, you have to raise your wrist and wait for the screen to go on or you can just double tap while running with your arm down?
