The retina display has completely ruined my iPhone experience for me. I have no desire to use my phone because all the apps I use look like ****. I obsessively check the app store for updates and there are none. It has been 5 days now. My iPhone is immaculate.. no spots and no reception issues... but I'm barely using it and it makes me wish I still had my 3GS so that I could still enjoy the games.

You sound like one of those immature whiny crybabies from the MTV Sweet 16 show. "Daddy only got me a Mercedes...I wanted a Ferrari!" Christ man, get a life. You've got the latest toy on the block, get over yourself and give it some time before you whine about it.

Sorry that is what I meant. Instead of just updating the app to the retina display, releasing a new HD version that we have to buy again. I really don't want to have to buy all of my apps over again.

Surprised I didn't see this one listed: Twitterrific 3, which depending on what version you owned before is a paid update. If you owned the iPad version, you get the iPhone one free, but if you had the premium one from 2, you have to buy 3 to get rid of the ads. But 3 is universal and Retina enabled (and it looks stunning).

Looks like Twitterrific 3 has been pulled. All I see is the free version in the store for now.

As I have mentioned in another thread, AccuRadio has been updated for full multitasking and "right swipe" controls with screen lock...Nice streaming user programmable radio app with 480 channels and without the user limits of Pandora...check it out...

Looks like yelp! has been updated to support multitasking and OS4, but I don't think it supports the retina display yet.

Anyone having issues with Beejive on the iPhone 4? I have been thinking about getting it, but it currently only has 2-3 stars because of all the issues people are having with it.

not enough of them!!!! i can't believe that developers have had months on ios4 and not been able to whip out some updates/new apps. i'm thinking apple is taking their sweet time on rolling out the updates.

and to those who say stop whining. if you have a ip4, we're all anxious to get apps that take full advantage of the new phone. or not crash. people express themselves differently.

i played around with npr music in the background while playing a game last night. of course this isn't much of a wow feature, but dude, i felt that revolutionary feel again. the npr music app is sweet. created a playlist of concerts, interviews, in-studios and walla! the future of public radio or radio itself! radio on demand.

you say wait a sec, this is old news, right? nah, having it play in the background brings it to a whole new level. and npr has the content.

playlist...(full concerts mostly mind you, A quality)
LCD Soundsystem (bonnaroo 2010)
Broken Social Scene
BLK JKS (SXSW)
Black Mountain
Mulatu Astatke (interview)
Joanna Newsome (2010 concert)

That is with 3-4 minutes of looking around. Now wolfgangs vault needs to update!

I am pretty surprised how slowly major app companies are updating to retina resolution.
They are coming slowly however.

Firemint - Real Racing :)

That was supposedly updated for retina on 6/22. i did just download the update today and it seems the clarity on the track and background is better!

The controls still feel exactly the same as they did before they supposedly incoroporated the gyro, and the fact that there is no adjustment for gyro sensitivity makes me doubt its actual implementation.

i had about 6 other free games update today, ironically i can't tell which ones updated since they didn't update the icons!

EDIT: the Real Racing update is actually quite good, the trees in the background of some tracks look great!

They updated this again yesterday and I think the controls feel much nicer!
